Its probably pointless me making a thread but for the sake of making one its now official, "Paramount has set a 10.25.13 release date for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 " Dear god someone make them stop...

Why stop? They're cheap to produce and they make the studio a ton of money. And I like them.

I still haven't seen 3 or 4. I like the first two. Not really worth getting on DVD, but they were good watches. I don't really see the need to make more of them. From what I've heard of 4, the concept is getting really stale and repetitive...PA has pretty much filled in for Saw. Makes me wonder what'll be next once they finally stop making PA movies...

Just watched the unrated version of 4 on Netflix, that ending was pretty boss. Of course there's gonna be a fifth installment...but as far as the "story" goes I don't know where they could take it. I've seen them all so far, and they're decent for what they are. Should be interesting.

As long as people keep going to see them, they'll keep making them. /90% of consumer products ever made.

Ironically, I'm watching the ending of the first movie on FX as I type this.

Of course. These movies can't cost more than a couple thousand dollars at most to make. Even if one of them were to open at a much lower number than previous entries in the series (let's say around 5-10 million dollars), it's still quite a bit of profit.

I think this should be the last one made.

Saw the first one. It was decent, I'll admit. But I never had any need or desire to see the sequels. This is an easy pass.

The ending was the only thing good about the whole movie, IMO.

I LOVED the first one. Second one had its cheap scares, overall it felt too produced too me. Third one I really enjoyed. Fourth one made me uncomfortable for half of it because of the boyfriend creepin on a 14 year old girl for most of the movie. It added NOTHING to the story, and generally wasn't scary.
