You'd think if it was Starscream, they would have just said so. Not like Starscream is any surprise.

Because Bulkhead also wasn't Bulkhead, he was named Hound. This is a novelty, that someone is actually what he looks like.

We don't know that either way, nor did I ever get the impression that the people mentioning Starscream were the majority of people witnessing the footage.

And even then, tweets from a bunch of people at CinemaCon =/= character confirmation.

What the hell are you talking about? Another strawman argument pulled out of nothing that needlessly brings up Age of Extinction from Autobot Burnout. What a shocker.

You do realize that every other Transformers movies had more named antagonists than AoE, right? And the vast bulk of them got less characterization and played smaller roles in the plot than Lockdown and Galvatron. Not to mention Stinger was a lifeless, non-sentient drone.

Plus, I'm not certain from your post that you know what character development is? I love Lockdown and Sentinel, and I think both are very well characterized for the movies they appear in, but neither they nor most any of the other antagonists in the films get character development; they don't change as characters from their first appearance to their last. The one exception is arguably Megatron, who realizes by the end of DotM how much his power has declined, to the point that his desire is just for Cybertron to survive even if he's second fiddle, so he turns on Sentinel. Not to mention once Cybertron is seemingly destroyed he just wants to be back in charge, then after he's decapitated he wants to show the world he's not dead yet, even if his followers are nothing but lifeless drones on a planet that wasn't meant for robots.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but the vast majority of the general public is not well versed in those cartoons. We Transformers fans are an anomaly, not the norm.

Okay enough of the vagueness! How does the Jet die; does he get shot in the head, or gets wings ripped off and crash, or gets blown up? And are you sure he does actually die and doesn't just fall over and looks dead?

What if it was Ramjet but after everyone thought it was Starscream, they altered the dialogue in the movie to match the audience's expectations?
Wouldn't exactly be hard. Transformers don't even get name-dropped much in these movies outside of Prime and Bee.

I'm curious too. There have been several times that characters have appeared to die, only to reappear in a future movie. One of the most extreme examples is Barricade. Everyone thought he died in DOTM, but his death was vague enough that they were able to bring him back. The same is true of Wheelie and Brains.

Does... does this constitute news? It couldn\'t possibly be more clear that it\'s Starscream.

Hell, just look at Megatron! At the end of RotF, he gets shot in the head and still has the head wound in DotM.

Honestly I don't have a good reason, I just like the F-15 more, it looks cooler. It's the original mode and it's also my favorite jet.
I do greatly appreciate the red intakes on the chest though. Little details like that go a long way after getting designs like TLK Hot Rod and DOTM Soundwave.

Except in ROTF it was made pretty damn clear that Megatron survived that. Starscream convinced him to retreat from battle and they both flew away.

There was never any "omg megatron is dead wAIT SURPRISE HE ISNT" until Age of Extinction.

The problem with RotF is some people actually thought Megatron died, becusce so many Cons bended together. I had to remind friends of mine "who liked the movies" how Megs got that injury.
