Paramount just trying to cure the symptoms, not the disease

    Bumblebee movie is still made by almost the same people(minus Knight)that gave us these previous movies. When Lorenzo screaming about a Optimus solo film, u know the disease is still there.

    Ironically, part of the way to 'cure' the disease is to fire Lorenzo. He's been nothing but trouble.

    You really think Bay was merely a "symptom?" Dude was the Director, he was responsible for every major decision of the movies. I like how before he left he was the end-all-be-all scourge, but now that he's actually gone oh suddenly he was just a small part of it. Huh.

    Way I see it, Paramount has cancer. They've cut out a huge tumor, and put the TF movies on medication by hiring Knight. Quality of life will improve, but there is no cure.

    I would say that it's the current Paramount power structure that has cancer, if that changes, then the TF movies can change

    No need to be this pessimistic, transformers can survive through all this

    Lorenzo/Bay are still involved with Bumblebee, because it's still technically a Bayverse movie. Or at least, that's the original intention.

    I don't take it too seriously. Last year there was talk about "14 Transformers movies written and ready". It's not going to matter if Paramount is ready to reboot, and I honestly can't see how an Optimus solo film would offer any benefit over that, other than being cheaper to produce.

    So sell Hasbro to Disney, replace Spielberg with Lorenzo or just see what happens after Bumblebee. Lorenzo is still part of it so we shall see.

    I wouldn't worry about di Bonaventura. Bay was clearly the root of the problem.

    Oh, Transformers can survive just fine. I didn't mean to imply it wouldn't. But I can see Paramount going down and TFs moving to a different studio.

    They got rid of Bay, kept the robot cast small, lowered the budget, made it a smaller, more personal movie, and simplified the designs, this seems like the best possible scenario after TLK.

    Best possible scenario would be an honest to god complete hard reboot, with new producers and writers on board. Not just a change of director and budget. Hopefully next time.

    Paramount should look over to DC and see what they're doing. After the divisive and box office bomb Justice League, WB removed everyone from the old regime of Snyder. Charles Roven, Diane Nelson and Geoff Johns were gone, and they got Walter Hamada as the ''Kevin Feige'' of DC movies. Paramount got rid of Bay, but they shouldn't stop there. Lorenzo should have been booted a long time ago, and having him around could easily lead to another TLK situation again.
