Is this under undersized mp ultra Magnus?

 

2023 releases are shaping up niiiiiice.

 

The three legend sized UM we know so far   And no, I won't put the Mechfans Toys KO here  

 

No buttflap, no buy.

 

Papa Toys seems to do okay stuff. Iron Factory is still amazing and Magic Square looks good also.

 

Nope mp ultra magnus doesn't look any better in legends form. In fact the best looking UM is still the IF imo.

 

Their reflector is really good. Strong and sturdy

 

Probably the best looking legends Magnus yet!  

 

Yes, MP UM looks good even in Legends form! I'll reserve any final judgment until this is further along -- and I do have some reservations now (e.g. arms too long, especially in relation to legs) -- but I'll be watching this with interest.

Even more reason not to regret selling my IF UM. He was great for his time, but he looks outdated now IMO and outclassed by recent Legends -- not the least of which IF's more newer stuff! IMHO, of course.

But in any case, it's great to have options!

 

Based on the size of their Rodimus, this will probably be Chug sized over legends.

 

Thought this as well. However, if it's in line size-wise with MFT's upscale of IF's City Commander, it could work for those who prefer a large UM. Realize it very well might end up bigger than that though.

 

Yeah that is good point, it's probably small voyager. We are assuming the grapple next to it is legends and it is probably not.

Papa toys, mistermoon and mechfans toys all showed that same grapple/inferno design. If they all do the grapple/inferno mechfans and mistermoon will be legends scale and the papa toys will be atleast large deluxe. Based on the scale of their reflector pe ko.

What annoyes me the most in this, is that they fixed the leg flaps on the front of his legs....Why they couldnt do a similar job to the MP is beyond any reasoning.

Anyway looks good, might get for desk purposes.

 

I'm still all in on Magic Square's, but it's kind of endearing how this one has the heavy detailing and proportional clunkiness of a lot of old school robot artwork.

 

Looks fat, squat, shit. Like a kid in a box costume. Absolute worst of the three, nobody comes close to beating the MS one.

 

The more the merrier. One of my favorite characters in all of Transformers, and I'm more than happy to have a few offerings to choose from in this scale. MSToys is the clear winner in aesthetics and I cannot wait to see how the final product turns out, but Papa's offering looks like a great scaled down MP.

 

First off, even Papa Toys is not enjoying the summer swelter from all the Global Weirding and Climate Strange, and I empathize.

Now, while I’m not a Magnus fan, I’d be interested in a Legends Magnus with Minimus Ambus, preferably Maximus Ambus from IDW’s “More Than Meets the Eye.” Granted, at that point it might be a large deluxe or voyager sized Magnus with a Legends Minimus inside, but that’s just what it takes for a small(ish) dose of Maximum Ambus.

 

Wow, the MP-ish shape looks wonderful at this scale.
