I have not bought from either company. NewAge has a good track record but pricey. Don't know much about Pangu Toys.

ShowZstore has Pangu Toys Omega for ~$80 US. Guessing Newage is going to be double, but conservatively lets say $130.

Which one are you backing? DX9 Gabriel is also a 3rd option currently on the preorder market, but a different scale.... Omega supreme overload!

Pangu Toys' looks fine but I don't really care about Omega Supreme so I wasn't going in on it.
NA's looks so perfect that it made me care about Omega Supreme.

i don't think there is any way that NA omega will come in around 130. that is just some pie in the sky stuff.

I feel like NA will have to price more competitively than what they are used to since Pangu already had the pre-orders out for what appears to be a solid offering of the same character in the same size/scale

I’m a fan of many Newage designs— especially EX ones— so if I gave even a minuscule whit about Omega Supreme, I would probably pay a significant premium for the NA version. I’ve never been disappointed in any of their figures, and I have zero experience with Pangu. That’s not to say that PT doesn’t make good toys— only that I wouldn’t spend money on the experiment to find out, when there’s an alternative available from a company with a great track record.

However, I didn’t even want Omega Supreme back in 1985, and the character’s toys have never been on my radar since. He’s always been an awkward, oddly-proportioned partsformer that never piqued my interest.

I'm probably getting both depending on how the Pangu Toys version pans out. As far as I'm aware this is their first attempt at a figure (unless someone knows whether or not the people behind PT came from another company or companies). I'm hoping some in-hand pics or some reviews make the rounds before its released, otherwise I may cancel my preorder. I'm definitely on board with Newage's 100% and whenever the inevitable Magic Square version comes out I'll be getting that one as well.

I think the chest on Pangu looks better but otherwise Newage wins on the taller rocket and cleaner design. But the big loss for NA is the touted price.. $200-250?? No sorry can't justify it! Take out the electrics and I'll happily pay $100 but more than that is kinda silly.. I'll probably wait for MS or second hand prices or just get Pangu..

If NA is only $130 it’s a no brainer, NA all the way and will immediately hand over my money.

If $200-250, then I will wait to see in-hand video reviews of both NA and Pangu before deciding. I am in no rush and might not get either.

Gabriel is too big for where I am at with collecting. I’m burnt on on Titan size class- the novelty of the size wore off and they aren’t fun to handle and take up too much space.

Gonna have to vote with my wallet as well, after comparative reviews come out. I'm 100% with you. Ark was my last Titan, I don't even have a place for that, it lives inside its box in a closet. A voyagerish scaled Omega Supreme though, that I can deal with.
I think in the end it's going to come down to plastic quality and how much I think an articulated claw is worth.

Haven’t seen a ton of compassion photos so…

    Judging just from the looks…
NA looks much more poseable, seems to have more knee flexibility…Pangu seems to only be shown leaning forward so I have questions about him being back heavy. Or just not terribly/dynamically poseable.
I dig the NA color scheme with the heavier yellow emphasis, and the shorter tracks in botmode.
NA seems to have taken care of the backside a bit better.
Not sure if we’ve really seen the final face sculpt from pt02, but NAs appears quite nice.
Edit- oh the difference an ab crunch makes, eh?
    PT02 is $80
I will not be surprised if NA Michael is $175-200. (Crazy you say? Remember, Jetfire was 79.99 at best, his price went up even before 1st release and now the various versions sell new from 90-115).

If I was an omega fan, the choice would be easy. I’d go ahead and pay the 200
And apply every point and coupon I could.

If I just needed an omega, PT could pass.

Got the Newage on pre-order. Going legends for all my G1 stuff because I feel like I'll get a full cast quicker, cheaper, and in many cases better than mp or chug that way.

No matter which one is better, it's good to have a choice. I vote for NA, cuz it's a new product that brings new or improved engineering. Both versions are good whichever you choose, you won't go wrong.

i want the NA for the articulation / and expected die cast and quality of parts, but lets see price 1st.

I wanted Pangu originally, and may still go for that option, but man, it really bugs me ALOT that they are resorting to simplification, removing hand articulation from original DX9, and my guess at head up/down articulation and making the wings not compacting as much and seems like a yelling face only? I would gladly trade the doc and blast effect for a happy or normal face and any of the other articulation points, which are all things that add greatly to my joy of handling the figure... I am wondering if the elbow can even do 90 degree (they didnt show the ability), and how much it suffers in articulation in actuality (or not, they dont show things very well). I do like the alt mode more compact base and the little details in molding vs the NA.

Or maybe i will end up getting one in one color, and the other in another color, depending how things go, or just one. It is unknown what kind of quality the Pangu will have, so will have to wait for reviews on it.

For me the answer is both, but that is because I collect Omega Supreme as a character. Straight up I like the appearance of Pangu better, NA's tendency to place large highly visible seams/hinges always bothers me enough to override their paint advantage. Articulation is not a concern for me as long as basic articulation isn't left out altogether.

A couple of things worth adding to your considerations into what you buy are repaints and Magic Square's eventual competing option.

NewAge is all but guaranteed to release multiple repaints of theirs so you could get him in a non-standard color scheme easily for more difference. Pangu's likelyhood for repaints is unknown. Of course if you are buying just one with no possibility of buying a repaint then it is not much of a concern.

It does not appear like it will be soon, but Magic Square will most likely do their own version of Omega Supreme at some point, and I would expect it's price point will be somewhere between Pangu and NA. Of course since it is not (it seems) a short term option the availability of these first two options may be hard by the time you could make a fully informed decision so you would have to decide if it is worth that risk. Most likely that would be based on your general history of preference between NA and MS based on other figures. You could still end up preferring the other one from your common historical preference, but you would have the highest odds of getting it right that way.

Overall, I like NA Michael better. It looks more toon accurate to me, has more articulation, nicer paint/finish, and a larger alt/base mode. I've always liked DX9 Gabriel, but the size prevented me from ordering it. I'm collecting legends mostly for combiners and larger characters, so Omega fits into that. Getting a legends version of Gabriel seems like a fun idea to me, too, especially for $80. I'm planning to get both. If PT announces a Guardian repaint, I'd likely switch my preorder to that. Otherwise, I don't necessarily mind having two legends Omegas. I'll vote for NA in this since it'll be my main one.

I like the detail on the Pangu Toys version, but the articulation on Newage impresses me. I'm more of an articulation guy.
