I know they only made a few TF items, but I'm sure there are many people here who collect their other stuff.
Sad to see them go, but it's been a long time coming. I guess now I'd better hurry up and get the rest of the Zim line.
Yeah, this REALLY sucks, while I didn't do the statues I was a huge Zim fan and was looking forward to series 3 and the Wizard box set, as well as their Labyrinth Jared figure Was also a huge supporter of their Micronauts before that lines demise. Probably just waaaay to dependant on licensed properties. Those royalties had to have put a major crimp on profits (or created a lack thereof) Man this year is going to be much cheaper with the losses of the Commemorative Series, Robotmasters, Universe, no new Takara line this year, possibly Binaltech, and now Zim I really hope someone picks up the Zim license...
I've got all the Muppet stuff and buffy palz and was looking forward to their Planet of the Apes things. That sucks.
Ah shit...that means no Meatwad/Frylock pack either. My Shake is forever doomed to taunt mothmonsterman alone.
Back when the line first started, I would have agreed. To me, the 12" Prime and Megatron are just terrible looking. I got them at the same time and remember opening them and having this sinking feeling that I'd made a horrible mistake. When they made the decision to change to the 6" size, I think things really began to improve - including the 6" versions of Prime and Megs. I loved the artsy look; it was a nice change from the cartoony representations from Hard Hero. Not better or worse, just different. I certainly hope Ravage, Devastator, and Ghost Starscream are still coming. Their releases are scheduled for this month, so I'd assume they've made it through production.
Their Wheeljack mini is one of my favorite collection pieces, entitled to a premium spot on my computer desk back home, where he can look good but not distract me from studying (since I can't stop and transform him). And I think they made the car flags, which I flew on my Bradley this year. I'll miss their products. Hard Hero busts don't do anything for me.
the only thing that ever caught my eye was the Devastator statue. But in the end, it is only a stagnant statue of a transformer - a really cool, nonposable action master. And for only $100?
I read this thread... and I weep.... okay, that was BS... enjoy your family time, dude, but I just couldn't get into buying Transformers that don't Transform....
Terrible, terrible news. No more Muppets and Sesame Street or Adult Swim products; and I was hoping for them to continue War Within's Prime statue with a Megatron or Grimlock one. I'm really sad. -airfox
i think whats really sad abt this, is the loss of other quality products that palisades has been known for, in particular their muppets line.
