So I've been wanting to add paint to all the amazing details on the Hearts of Steel figures. I feel like beauty of the molds are really left out and under appreciated and I'm going to do something about it.

I would say I'm a fairly accomplished miniature painter from my Warhammer days but I'm worried about paint rubbing off of the figures. Does anyone have any good ideas on what to use? I was thinking maybe Gundam Markers would make it very easy but not sure how well it will stay on during a transformation.

Any and all ideas are welcome.

Are you talking about functional rivets or the ones from the HOS design? Because if it's the latter, then your risk of rub should be somewhat minimal. I wouldn't use a gundam marker. I think a detail brush and a bottle of Testors hobby paint would work best.

None that are functional from what I see/understand. I will look into the Testors paint when I hit up my local Hobby Town USA. I assume Testeors is an enamel base paint?
Link seems to be broken, not seeing anything on my end.

Testors offers them in enamel or acrylic.

I think I'll test out the enamel. I've been using GW and Vallejo acrylics and I know those are prone to rub without a clear coat and I handle them even less then my Tf's. I'm very unfamiliar with enamels, what do you use to clean the paint off your brushes with those?
