Quick question. I'm about to paint a DOTM Deluxe Sideswipe silver, and i was wondering, do I just spray the paint over the figure after masking the parts I don't want painted? Is there something else I need to do? Thanks for helping a rookie like myself! :)

Wash him down with some warm soapy water first, and thoroughly let dry. This will remove mold release agents that are oily as well as oils from handling him.

I'd say since it's Sideswipe in particular, you won't have to worry about removing factory paint.

Unless you plan on repainting the tires, mask off the wheels too.

The windows may be easily removed with a screwdriver, not sure as I don't have him in front of me.

You could also mask off the head and tail lights or simply repaint over them as well.

    Good luck!
