it makes sense to me that if i paint a clear red piece with clear blue paint it should turn out purple and vice verca paint a clear blue piece with a clear red paint and get purple.

has anyone ever done this and if so how did it turn out?

It should create a purplish tint. Not sure how purple it'll be, though.

Yeah, just make sure to thin out the paint you're using. Too much will just turn it straight up blue instead of purple.

It's always easier to add more paint than to take it off.
