What's the best way to permanently paint/dye clear Transformers plastic windows and make them keep transparency?

Don't know if it's the best way, but pledge floor finish and food coloring do the trick, if what I've read is true.

I've always used sharpies, but you usually want to color the inside of the window so you don't rub it away

Thanks. I'm assuming the transparent paint is the only one that won't rub off?

@marioxb I've had good success with Suncatcher paint, it's cheap, accessible, comes in multipacks and has lots of different colors. Alternately, you can go with Stained Glass paint.

My most recent custom has red suncatcher paint that covered the yellow visor and green on the wings.

Tamiya paints are really good and won't rub off. Their translucents won't rub off either. That's what I mostly use for all of my repaint projects. I also use Minitaire paints which are also good. Stick with Tamiya translucents.
