I installed Corel on this computer that has paint loaded on it, when I go to edit bitmap in Corel it pulls up paint not the Corel bitmap editor. I need to use the Corel editor is paint set as the default or something thanks.
What kind of computer are you using? if Mac then just right click on the file and go to "Open With" and choose the right program to open it, Corel Paint would try to open most image files just as Photoshop would try to open most image files.
No need for snark, thanks. As Matrix Soul said, it should be possible to alter it using Open With from the right-click menu. You can probably (depending on your OS) set it from here to default to that program in future.
Ya, sorry don't usually post things like this. The Corel opens the file fine I imported it in there, since you can only open Corel files in Corel. The problem is when you are actually in the program when you go to edit Bitmap within the program that's supposed to pop up the Corel bitmap editor with all the options it usually does on every other computer it opens up paint as the editor. It's really weird never had this happen before. Windows 7 Corel 13
In the Corel options, you should find one where you can associate the file types with a specific application. find that and make sure Corel is the bitmap editor selected and not paint. If that doesnt work, find a bitmap file, and use "open with" and make sure Corel is the default app
Still didn't work. It's not that it opens up with paint, it's that when I'm already in the program and go to the editor in corel that it opens paint from within the Corel program.
Corel 13? You mean CorelDRAW 13? Does it open Microsoft Paint because the CorelDRAW suite comes with a program called (Photo) Paint as well.
I don't have your program but I am going to bet there is something in CorelDRAW that lists specific "external" editors. You'll have to check the Options or Preferences or whatever it calls it.
