LMAO. Yeah, that trailer spoke volumes about the quality of this movie and I do not think it will be any good at all.
That leaves Kidman, Broadbent, Walters, and Capaldi to go. They're all fantastic; they don't deserve to be a part of this abomination unless they really do need the money.
So the movie was out in the UK for a while, and see what just happened. Paddington - Rotten Tomatoes They really liked it.
Odd. Maybe this really is the rare film that put all the bad stuff in the trailer rather than than all the good bits...
Either one of two things. 1.) It's actually a surprisingly good movie or 2.) They bribed the critics in to giving good reviews. I think the later is the correct answer.
Now that's surprising. The trailer was really bad so I'm curious as to what so many critics actually like about it.
The hell? Maybe it's just British critics who have some nostalgia glasses on. When it hits over here, just judging from those trailers, it'll hopefully get the critical damning it deserves. 97-100% though... That's very odd and it's admittedly making me think.
