there's prob already a thread on this subject! but....when you buy your TF figure, do you keep the packaging or throw it away? i throw mine away, but i know that some prob hold onto them in case they wish to sell their figures on.

btw....anyone keep their Fort Max packaging? coz the box must be huge

 

I have barns so I just end up keeping everything. I cut bubbles off of cards and toss them. All boxes are boxed up in other boxes and thrown into the barn. MP and other super nice or autographed boxes are displayed in my display room.

 

I keep the nice ones like MPs and G2 Bruticus. It would be a fire hazard if I kept ALL of them.

 

Toss. If I could get the toys in cheaper, degradable packaging, I would.

 

I keep boxes for the higher end stuff, and if I like a card I just cut off the bubble and file it away.

 

Throw them away.

 

For some third party/expensive stuff yes. Everything else no. Takes too much space.

 

I'll keep some G1 packaging, if the figure was a present and the rare occasions when I really like the packaging. Otherwise, it all goes to the recycling bins.

I keep everything if I can. Even bubbles. not so much for resale, though that is part of it, but the best reason to keep bubbles is for when you move. If a figure is going to be bouncing around in a box, and sometimes stay in that box for extended periods, it is much better for the figure to sit in a fitted bubble than to bang around loose.

 

I only the packaging of Takara and special figures, and the cards of the deluxe figures. Other than that, I throw the packaging out.

 

I toss most of the packaging my toys come in. I've only kept boxes for MC's Knight Morpher Commander, AM Skywarp, TFCC Over-run, and TFCC Drift. And that's mostly because the boxes are nice.

 

Cardbacks no bubble. High end and 3rd party boxes only.

For G1 to present toys I would just unfold the boxes and flatten them out as best as I could without damaging them, usually I would just toss the bubble.

If I had a large enough box say Armada Unicron I would use it to store flattened out boxes or cards that would fix inside it.

 

I used to keep everything... But every few years I'd have to toss them because they took up wayyyyy too much space. In the past 5 years, I've been cutting and tossing the bubbles and keeping the cards. For boxes I break them down and toss the insides. For interesting or pricey stuff, I tend to keep everything. But those are usually the largest and take up a lot of space so I might have to only keep 3rd party packaging... In fact, I only wanted the FP Warbots because they look so good in their packages!

 

I usually toss the packaging unless it's something nice like a Masterpiece box or something like the Universe Deluxe Special Editions' packaging.

 

I keep everything....I have a pretty big closet that has shelf-like things in it....running outta room though.... :\
