Well let's see, the fucked up the colours on 7 inch Kinfehead, so I'm pretty justified in the fear of them fucking up here.

"Not final colours" usually means that's because they quite obviously photoshopped the colours on, and the actual shades and exact placement will obviously differ once actually painted. But they still stupidly gave him a red mouth, just like on the other figure that was released.

The color is fine. Afaik, Knifehead has a red mouth with the kaiju blue emitting from his throat. So, the mouth itself isn't actually colored blue.

    Anyway, spectacular figures !

I think I'm going to skip wave 2 of the 7". I already have wave 1 and 2 extra Crimson Typhoons. Cherno Alpha in wave 3 is on my must-have list.

From what I gathered it's the grey prototype colored with photoshop.

However! It will have lights that shine through the skin, the eyes, and most likely actually light up the mouth. So yeah. :D

Well amiami put up preorders @ about $200. They usually don't mark up these things THAT much. I'm expecting it to be $175 at BBTS now, but I really hope it is under $100 like the gipsy danger.

No way it's going to be beneath 100. Not a chance. It's going to be in the 120-150 range, mark my words.

Slattern sideshow statue is up for preorder. I have that, knifehead and gipsy statues all on preorder at BBTS. I have no idea if I can save up the money by the time they are released or if I even have space for it (I don't), but these are amazing and I want them!

I still can't believe we've seen NOTHING for Otachi in any line, who is the star Kaiju of the film. It's mind boggling to me.

Alright gang, here's the plan. I've built a few Jaegers in my spare time. We will use them to lay seige to NECA HQ until our demands for an Otachi are met! TODAY WE ARE CANCELLING THE TOYPOCALYPSE!

Yep. They had all three of the first wave at mine. I snatched up Gipsy Danger a few weeks ago and when I went the next day to get Crimson Typhoon all of them (like 15 at least between the three figures) were gone. I believe they were $13.

The Jeager is the best looking Pacific Rim figure. I just wish I could find him at TRU

Ehm... does anyone feel these wave 1 figures are terrible toys ?

I had a discussion elsewhere and they told me these Neca Pacific Rim
    7" figures aren't any good.

If he comes with internal lighting for his skin, mouth and eyes and has nice articulation I'll pay $120...anything more will require some thought...

They're kinda mediocre, save for Crimson Typhoon (who suffers from glued joints with some). Expensive too, depending on where you shop. But hey, only choice you have, sooo.

Yeahhhh pretty much. I've been modding the hell out of my figures for a week and Gipsy is just starting to be able to move well. I'm going to try and do what Jin did with his and try and add more joints to Knifehead and Gipsy, too. Typhoon is just about perfect. :D

Articulation is pretty bad, imo. You can't put Gipsy Danger is any cool poses. Crimson Typhoon is slightly better.

    Poses not cool enough ?

Remember the difference between TFTM toys and ROTF toys engineering ? I mean, the years it took
Hasbro to improve upon those figs....

My NECA Crimson Typhoon has difficulty holding any poses because of the legs. You have to have the legs just right so they can balance the weight of what they're holding. I can't count the number of times I've had him in a nice pose only to 10 minutes later hear him fall flat on his face.

These QC issues are ridiculous, and NECA Customer Service basically told me they couldn't help me because they only deal with retailers, even though the packages were both MISB when purchased.

    * Aforementioned significant misprint on GD arm
    * Crimson Typhoon's front left arm snapped off at the B&S joint when I tried to move it. Not a lot of force, because I am careful. But it was meant to move as the stub of the ball joint is moving now :(

Between this and the ridiculously weak joints, these figures look great but are piles of shit. I'll grab the 18" 89 Batman and that's it. Ya'll can have this garbage :lol
