Would definitely buy Cherno and Scunner, even if the latter worked out to be 'just' a re-head and redeco of Knifehead.

Watched some of the XBox gameplay footage...I have to say, I'd not be impressed if I was a console gamer; it looks like just a stage-by-stage beat 'em up, no sandbox environment, no plot even if it would mirror the movie in spots. I will say I'd play the heck out of it at an arcade though - it definitely seems more at home like that than as a console game.

The only real problem with the 18 inch Gipsy seems to be the fact that its visor is a lot bigger than what it actually should be.

It's probably because of the silly light gimmick.

The large visor may not be accurate, but I like the look of it.

...I think I just figured out what my 'buy everything' toyline for this movie would be.

    Let Megabloks get the license.

Sure, they could do large-scale Jaeger figures using the same basic designs as the magnetic-frame Halo Spartans (and hey, customizable Jaegers).

But what I'd want, and would buy, would be building sets where the -minifigures- are kaiju and Jaegers. Megabloks has proven they can do non-human minifigs with the WoW and Halo lines - picture little sets like the Halo armory packs, with one minifig and some buildable terrain; battlepacks with a bigger chunk of city; the big flagship set could be the Shatterdome...

When I stopped by TRU, all the PR figures were gone. I was going to by Gipsy but wanted to see the movie first.

I do like the Striker figure. If they announce they will put out Cherno, I'll get Typhoon so I can have all 4. Otherwise, Typhoon will be skipped. Not super keen on the 3 arm look. Its like with the 6" Avengers figures. I got the main 4 but since they didn't put out Widow, I coundn't have a full team so Hawkeye didn't get bought.

Can someone explain to me what in the blue Hell would cause a figure's paint apps to just disappear in a few days?

I went to grab my Crimson Typhoon figure down off my shelf and nearly all his paint apps on the right side of his body are gone. Like they just flaked off. I haven't had the problem with the paint apps on the other side of his body.
Man fuck this. I'm buying a new one and taking this one back.

Please Bandai make some SRCs/RobotSpirits/etc. of the Jaegers. Crimson Typhoon will be the first one I buy.

    "Silly" light gimmick?

The thing's 18 inches. A tiny little LED isn't gonna affect the visor size. More likely the edge of the visor is supposed to be black, but it's moulded in yellow. Probably will be painted on the final.

Well that's just it, it's an arcade game. It's not supposed to be a full-fledged console title. It cost $10.

They want to do a wave 3, but its all depending on how the line sells. Cherno is on their list to do if wave 3 is possible, as is Coyote. From the sounds of their twitter they want to at least do Cherno even if they have to call it a line right after.

Good, even if all we get is Churno out of wave three, I'll be happy.

Hopefully the movie will stay around and make money, because it will need it to get greenlit in a sequel. Legendary had a very high stake in this movie and put up an enormous amount of cash to get the movie financed.

I've got all three 7" figures so far and I'll buy every one they make. Preordered the 18" Gipsy Danger the other day, too. I really want them to make an Otachi. These designs are so amazing.

Disappointed that BBTS didn't put Leatherback up for preorder, just the Jaegers...

I wish Kotobukiya got the rights to make the Jaegers and the Kaiju. What I wouldn't give to see Revoltech versions of all the Jeagers and Kaiju if only just for the Superior Articulation.

You mean Kaiyodo. Kotobukiya does model kits (some pretty good ones at that, apparently) such as those HMM Zoids.

I don't care as much about Revoltech of late, but their Monster Hunter line does show the potential to do the Kaiju justice remains.
