That's a week and a half before mine.
Then again I'm in Canada, but Amazon's usually REALLY fast.
Well, I spotted Coyote and Cherno in FYE this weekend and I bit. I think it helped knowing NECA is reissuing Striker and Crimson, since I passed them up previously due to funds.
Didn't I see they were making a new Gipsy, too? One that was a slight bit taller? Or was that just for the current wave?
Yes GD V2.0 is coming in wave 5. He will be 4% taller. Most likely see 1 or 2 variants of GD2.0 due to all the new goodies he'll be coming with, like boatsword and plasma cannons.
A new Gipsy is coming, but all we've seen is control art so far. It has way more articulation points, and accesories. Honestly, I can't imagine it being much taller. It's going to be TOO big next to everyone else then. It's already a full head taller than Striker.
Cool. Thanks for the info, guys. The one I have now is a floppy mess, so I'll likely pick up version 2.
Is Tresspasser worth getting if I already own Knifehead? I don't feel like spending $30 on the same figure twice even though it is a different character.
I don't think so.
I mean, he looks pretty different, but with Scunner coming out, he's got more differences wheras Axepasser is just a new head and back.
I'm getting Tresspasser as my version of the mould, and just gonna stick with 18 inch Knifehead.
Thats my plan, also. Especially since I already bought that shitey first Knifehead. Tresspasser and Scunner for me!
Well I got trespasser in the mail today. Gotta say, this is probably the worst figures in terms of qc issues. I dunno if it's common or not but the joints are uneven. On the right side, the hand, shoulder, and knee joints are all stretched out compared the left side where the joints are sunken in. It's pretty weird and leaves him asymmetrical. Despite that I adore him. He's just full of articulation and aside from a tiny bit of paint slop on the mouth and on the she he's very well painted. I'll post pictures later if I can of the joints, but it doesn't hamper his posability much.
I bit the bullet and ordered Cherno Alpha from amazon, but heard crazy horror stories including someone getting Coyote Tango instead and bad QC including pins not being placed all the way, loose hands, and getting two right feet.
I've ordered all of wave 3 off of amazon with no problems. I shop amazon a lot and its the best hands down. If you have a problem with your order they will overnight you a replacement and give you 30 days to mail the defective item back free of postage. I wouldn't worry about it so much, people on the internet tend to exaggerate problems.
So yeah, here's my trespasser, really weird issues but they don't harm the posability much. Except maybe the legs a little.
Uh, what issues?
Looks perfectly fine to me.
Look at the knees, hands, and shoulders. The ones on the left are more stretched out or the ones on the right are more compressed.
I see it! Yeah, return that for a new one. You're figure is fucked up.
Oh wow, that's REALLY minor.
I wouldn't bother returning it. If anything, the "compressed" joints are normal. Your's is actually MORE articulated.
Are the limbs not plugged in all the way then? Would heating him up in water and trying to shove his shoulder back into his socket work?
okay. I just hope Cherno doesn't sell out like it has the first release.
Repainted my Knifehead, I like how it turned out.
I cannot wait to get the 18" version. That thing is gonna be like a baby.
Well I may be a tad generous . But in all honesty it's not that bad, just unusual. I posted just to see if anyone else has this or if it's an issue. And yeah, I don't really wanna go through the hassle of negotiating with someone over qc issues of a neca figure. Last time I tried was frustrating to say the least.
Hmm, I'm not sure it would work. They do look like I can just push them in, at the very least I could do that with the hand, but I don't know if warming them up would loosen them enough to allow it. Has anyone tried this before?
