The trailer was for both? What an interesting marketing strategy. What a money-saver.
They just have two different versions. One with "PACIFIC RIM coming 2013" fading into the shot, and the other with "GODZILLA 2014" flashing on the screen and then the Godzilla roar.
Oh yeah! I had forgotten about Mighty Joe Young.
I should put that in the Netflix Queue for the kids.
But yeah, I never expected to have two American Kaiju films.
God, if they somehow get permission to air THAT as a TV spot, I'd fucking cream myself.
It looks like practical effect Zilla. God, I hope it's practical effects.
It's not. At least, for the most part it isn't. Some of the destruction sequences apparently have a practical basing to them like the shaking of streets.
ILM is going fullsteam with this one.
