Japanese get the best premieres.
So my girlfriend started making Kaiju plushies to sell to people on Tumblr, here are the prototypes:
Whatchu guys think?
wantwantwantwantwantwantwantwant that Otachi.
I'm only getting Striker.
It comes with a baby too.
I know what I'm going as for Halloween.
A Japanese girl?
Actually I was planning on Guilermo del Torro or Knifehead. Guilermo would be funnier...
So u cant get that poster at the store?
What the..?!?! XD Oh, Japan, this is why we love you.XD Now I wanna read the comments of the japanese viewers. That and the dub clips for the movie. XD
I really want to watch the Japanese version of the movie out of curiosity, their "ELBOW ROKETTO!!" sounds so intense.
Yep! Same here. That only clips makes me wanna watch the full japanese dub. XD
Not from I know. But I do know that Amazon, and Ebay has that same exact print for sale.
No srry you have to woo it. You don't go home with gipsy, he comes home with you~
Try taking it to a movie and buying some popcorn. That's what I did.
Seriously, like where and how can I buy one?
For right now my girlfriend's making a bunch of them and I'm writing down the orders, eventually we're going to set up a paypal account for people to deposit money to, then we'd send the people their plushies~
I don't think I actually have a favorite Jaeger. To be honest I'm not really a fan of their designs. I think the Russian one is fun because it's very blocky and his head looks like a nuclear reactor, but if I'd have to pick one as my 'favorite' I'd probably say the Aussie one.
As for the Kaiju, probably Knifehead or the crab one that invades Tokyo
By the way, the Dutch subtitles for this movie were kind of terrible. The first word in the first sentence immediately has a spelling error, mentioning 'Faiju' instead of 'Kaiju', and for some reason, two times in the movie when the characters are talking about 'chasing the rabbit', the translator was apparently completely unaware of the saying, and translated it as 'chasing the rabit', italic font included, as if it were some kind of Arabian dish or something. Embarrassing.
I saw it and was disappointed. It's not that good. Not a single character was good. Maybe Charlie Days, only because he managed to show enthusiasm. And no one say "its not a character based movie" then why the hell was an hour and a half people talking in a dome? If it wasn't about them they wouldn't have done that. Or Makos emotional issues. They just disappeared almost immediately. As soon as she lost her Jaeger virginity all was well? Or after that cop out of an ending, how;d the escape pods get through the rift? Hell, why were there escape pods to begin with and why did no other Jaeger pilot ever use them? Or why would Jaegers go digital? Its after 2020 and they used Jaegers with nuclear power and they worked fine. Gipsy worked just as well as others. Hell, Gipsy even had escape pods. And since nuclear powered Jaegers also double as a bomb, why not keep them all that way and detonate them when losing?
The movie was enjoyable, but shallow, predictable, and outrageously cliche'. Everyone overlooks these simply because Guliermo took the liberty to be a good director, and visually do what he's good at.
Pentecost underestimated her (Raleigh specifically calls him out on this); she handled herself just fine in the initial run, it was the sudden shock of feeling Yancy's death via Raleigh that sent her off-course. The second time they're in Gipsy, Raleigh had pulled himself together and Mako was now aware of and prepared for that aspect.
Slattern's corpse was still in there, which would have coerced the Rift to remain open. Not to mention the Breach was stabilising near that point, letting it stay open longer.
Crimson Typhoon's head was crushed. No escaping that.
Cherno Alpha doesn't have escape pods, trading them for maximum armour and defence.
Striker Eureka's systems were damaged. The escape pods were most likely offline.
Because digital Jaegers are more technologically advanced and efficient then their nuclear brethren. You may have noticed that Striker Eureka and Crimson Typhoon are far faster, more agile and with better enhancements then the other two. Striker itself demolishes nearly every Kaiju it goes against (eleven kills, baby), and only Slattern, the strongest Kaiju yet, is able to overpower it.
Jaegers were built specifically to avoid having to use nukes all the time, what with nuclear fallout/destroying the Kaiju's target for it. Blowing them up every time a Kaiju got an extra point doesn't help much in the long run (especially if the Jaeger could have been salvaged, like Gipsy was)
That's technically the correct spelling. It stands for Random Access Brain Impulse Triggers, or R.A.B.I.T.
On the other hand, since the subs apparently didn't spell it as an acronym, that would be a misspelling.
Separate names with a comma.
