Damn that DVD art is awesome.
Half in the Bag Episode 58: Pacific Rim - YouTube
It's showing up as the cover art on the Amazon.com listing. Even if it isn't the final cover, it sure looks pretty!
It seems to be the logical cover option. It was the movie poster after all.
I'm heading out to see it in a few minutes. I hope it's as fun a movie as people say it is.
So I got to thinking at work, The Kaiju attacked cities basically to wipe out the vermin (Humans).
BUT what if in the sequel the Kaiju Masters get smarter, study the human race and decide to attack the world leaders to try and cripple us so that we wont know who to turn to in a dire time of need. I'd love to see that happen, it'd basically show that the first time the Kaiju attacked we decided to stand up for ourselves, but now they've gotten smarter and have tried to cripple us from within.
...The Kaiju Overlords take a cue from Snatcher. Uh Oh someone better find Gillian Seed at Junker HQ.
They are an enormous site, not just for clothing. And thousands of stuff, most of the designs(that I know of) are submissions from ppl, so I think theyre pretty safe
OMG I didnt see that one! Kickass!
It was $10 couple of days ago
And it was! That was a thrill ride of a movie.
Yeah, that's where I saw the cover as well.... guess it could change, but it works for me.
MUST PRE ORDER ASAP!!
Yep gonna preorder that at Amazon with my next cycle of cashback points to get it for free
Mark 1 Jaegers Romeo Blue, Horizon Brave and Tacit Ronin.
I wonder what the kaiju looked like who brought down those Mark Is? Also, looking at those shots, it's kind of a shame that we didn't see more daytime fighting scenes. I hope if there's a sequel they can do that next.
There's something surreally disturbing about the 'corpse' of a Jaeger. I dunno, something about these mechanical titans just lying there, torn apart, is chilling.
Like with the Kaiju; for example, in just one stroke of the sword, Otachi goes from a deadly, versatile and cunning monster to a pile of harvestable drugs.
It's just kind of odd to see these titanic, almost majestic entities reduced to broken components. Huh.
I really hope we can see the designs of the other Jaegers like Vulcan Specter, Nova Hyperion, etc. I mean if you went through all that trouble of giving them names and Mars then you should have some sweet designs available soon.
Picked up Man, Machines & Monsters today. Excellent stuff - I wanted it just for the concept art stuff, but it's all awesome. Worth every penny.
Having a blasted hard time getting ahold of the soundtrack though, I'm not even sure if it's officially out yet. Dude at Target hadn't even heard of the movie; Walmart didn't even have an entry in their computer; at least B&N and BestBuy could tell me 'backordered'.
