This figure isn't a drastic oversize, which is good! I'm not even sure if it's 10% bigger.

Completed my neck mod, which is a huge improvement to posability! I also added some extra paint and some cybertronian/decepticon decals:

 

Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this, but the smaller head looks better??? I never even noticed that Starscream's head is officially that tiny before you pointed it out, which is honestly super weird they made it so small. But regardless, I'm a stickler for accuracy, so now I may grab that upgrade head myself because it's more accurate to the film, but also because I'm shocked at how good it looks on the upscaled figure.



You can see how small Starscream's head is on this fan-render (it's not official but it may as well be since it's practically a 1:1 copy of the ILM files), and the smaller upgrade head is a lot more proportionate than the stock head on the OSKO. Seriously how have I never noticed how tiny his head is? It's actually kinda hilarious now that you've mentioned it lmao.

 

I know right? Now I don't think I could ever go back to the regular sized head haha! Especially since the upgrade head still has LEDs and is way more detailed.

I recently got the movie bots bug and decided to go the oversized KO route. I got this guy in yesterday. What an amazing looking figure! I know Takara gets the credit for the engineering (including the exasperating LACK of bicep swivel) but man, this oversized KO just looks so much better with the beautiful paint apps and epic size.

I just got mine last night, but the ankles were loose out of the box and he won’t stand up! Did anyone else have this issue? What would be the best way to resolve this? Or am I dumb and they just need to be pegged in somewhere.. still fairly new to the collecting scene. Thanks in advance.

 

Almost everyone thinks the ankles are loose at first. Yes they probably need to be pegged into the calves, but it's also possible that you just have a loose copy, although not likely. It's been talked about a lot in all the MPM screamer threads.

Having a hard time deciding between this and the $65 KO that’s currently in stock at showz. What do y’all think? Only MPM figure I have is the black apple that’s on the way.

 

Comes down to deco preference I guess. Neither are compatible with the DNA kit if that matters to you, since they are oversized.

 

how different is it between the two? The paint looks very similar to me.
