There's lots of negatives and a few positives about CW/UW devastator. There are threads on both of them in the official toy forum. There are comparison pics in this thread. There are upgrade threads on this forum.

Regarding guardia, if you're asking for a size comparison this will dwarf guardia. Even the normal size one is much larger than guardia.

 

How's the plastic quality of the JinBao Bruticus?

 

He is sold out everywhere. If you see him available and want him now, I'd jump on it.

I had a deal going for him with free ems shipping with original Box or cheaper option if shipped loose but we sold out almost right away.

I have a wait list going now for the next release which is supposed to be late April.

It's great. Much better than the jin biao OS feral Rex. I'd say same or better than current hasbro releases but massively better value and transformation. Value comes from the jin biao price and combo ability. Transformation you've got to give props to the original warbotron designers. They did a great job on a bunch of cool bots.

Just got mine over the weekend. Overall he feels very solid but one of the pins holding in Onslaughts feet had worked its way out during transit and stressed out the plastic pretty good. I'm tempted to glue it together but we're talking about pretty small parts here and I want to maintain the ankle rocker instead of gluing everything in place

 

I opened my set this weekend and yes, I did a fair amount of carving on the door flaps and the leg tabs to get them to fit. The front ridge on the upper door flaps had to be completely shaved off with utility and hobby knives. Fits correctly with those gone.

 

Cw devy is very unlike any third party combined. The toys are greatly simplified which makes the combined mode very light and stable. He has much more cartoon accuracy than any third party dev and is far, far cheaper. Or at least he was, when he came out.

Also mixmaster is backwards for some reason. This bothers some folks.

Whew. So it wasn't just me. Yes, I had to completely shave off those small ridges.

What leg tabs did you shave?

 

90% of its g1 and most ppl don't want a modern mixmaster when everything else is cartoon accurate

 

If I remember correctly, about mid-leg, there's a tab that crops out of each leg and plugs into the corresponding leg hole. When transforming to truck, the tabs hold the legs together. There's a little bump on the tabs. Mine, the bumps had to be shaved down to get the legs to tab together. Otherwise, just wouldn't fit.

 

Its more that the other vehicles haven't updates as much as real Cement trucks have

 

Oh, I see. Hmmmmm. I didn't have that problem. And, it looks like others don't have the door problem. Looks like these pieces are coming out of several molds, and some molds are better than others...

I also found Fierce Attack's "abdomen" way too tightly held together. As in, I had to use a ridiculous amount of force to get Fierce Attack to bend backwards in preparation for combined mode. I just took a nail file and filed down those tabs to almost nothing. It's still quite tight without the tabs.
