Tfdirect posting specifies that its better quality than Rex I believe. For whatever that's worth.

Edit: it was Showz on Facebook that mentioned quality being better than Rex.

My thinking exactly and I'm pretty sure their target market is the cw devy crowd, not the tw crowd.

 

Thats a pretty safe assumption seeing as how the TW version might be close to 600 or 700 dollars when its all complete.

 

Interesting.....at least these ones don't suffer from big individual heads. Jin Biao sure knows how to please those MP-scale enthusiasts.

 

Didn't they fix this with the upgrade set that also fixed the hands and feet?

 

No new heads for individuals or feet, just combined mode head and hands for the individual and combined mode.

 

Still getting this even if combined mode is poor. At least this is MP scale. The price is great.

 

i agree with you... for $100, the quality is perfectly fine considering the size for sure. I actually think my OS Nero Rex is better quality than my OS Feral Rex. That guy is sturdy as hell and some joints are too tight. i paid $100 for Nero and $80 for Feral, def have no regrets at all on those purchase and will surely pick up this Bruticus for $100!

Man, with more show accurate toyworld Combaticons on the way this was an easy pass for me, but at that price I'm sorely tempted to pick it up just so I can have a better size combiner that I can display with the individual robots, just like the feralcons.

And I definitely wouldn't call my oversized Predaking cheap and crappy. It holds together and displays just fine and that the price it is plenty satisfying. I put on the upgrade kit but I actually preferred the bigger original combined head

I work with Show Z on some discount pricing and he asked me to pass long that price is going up after tomorrow on this set.

Similar to the jin biao feral Rex, most sellers will be selling this brand new but shipped loose. The packaging is super bulky, kind of cheap, and increases the shipping price so there will be two prices.

Generally it's $20 cheaper to get the set without boxes.

Also, he said today (Dec 20) is the cut off before the price will go up.
