where can we see when they will post updates about it? assuming they will...
There’s a button in the upper right hand corner called Watch Thread. Click that, and you’ll be notified whenever there’s updates or new posts on this thread. Welcome aboard!
I can't decide if I take the tarnished truck as very tasty. Yeah it's a new perspective on the predominantly pristine prime-mobile all present patrons have previously purchased at least one of, probably, but there was something fetchingly fascinating found in faultless Ferraris reforming into rugged roughed up robots. Whenever I do custom paints, which is rare now, I leave the vehicle mode shiny (when I'm not color correcting it) and only wash/shade/drybrush/damage (washadrymage?) the robots' robits.
I think this is the biggest advantage of Faux parts; they look similar to the vehicle parts but can have extra detail in robot mode.
I am not against faux parts if the actual use of the "real parts" is impossible, but I think that their use should be kept to a minimum, not only the goal of a "perfect transformation" is achieved but it could also reduce the amount of big parts and increase the storage space, which in turn reduce "backpacks" and non accurate "kibble" at the cost of increased complexity.
The rear tires transformation process of this figure proves my point.
The tires on this are really something, huh? It's incredible how they did that and still couldn't bring the abs slightly more in.
So, just a quick message to everyone in this thread; I saw the forest fight recently, and this prime can be a perfect representation of that; he's battle damaged, the abs during the forest fight were sticking out more than usual, and Optimus was actually upscaled in the forest fight to look better with Megatron; normally, he's 28 feet tall, but during the forest fight, he was taller than Starscream but shorter than Megatron, so Optimus is around 33 feet. That means this Prime can work perfectly as a ROTF Prime in your normal MPM collection! The abs still stick a little too far out, but if you watch revenge of the fallen again, his ab pieces were slightly different than in the first movie; they were more loose, and unlike the first movie, the abs aren't really tilted inwards. So if anyone had doubts about having this, I think this can still be a great Optimus even with it's flaws.
This Optimus works perfectly as standard MPM size. Bigger figure than the original and smaller than the BMB version
I’ve actually grown used to the abs sticking out and looking at the actual cgi model seems weird. But I think towards the end of the 2007 final battle his abs loosen up as well
Megatron beated him so bad his abs sticked out.
I am more impressed by the tires mechanism than something that is purely cosmetic. But yeah, is interesting that they couldn't find a better way to make the abs protrude less.
I'm not even a fan of the Michael Bay era Prime, but that figure looks pretty sick!
They did it, the fuckin madmen did it
Man, i don't know which one i like better, this or the Black Mamba LS-03F (DOTM OP). I really don't want to get more than one bayverse OP tho if i can help it.
Did what though? I don’t see anything new on it. Unless I’m complete blind. The paint looks great however
The abs are compressed much more than when we first saw them
EDIT: Admittedly, they could just be flukes In how the figure looks due to the angle the picture was taken at, but I believe that the abs have been compressed
Hmm, they look the same to me honestly. The headlights still point upward which indicates they can’t angle down and compress more than that. But we’ll see in video reviews soon hopefully.
Honestly what bothers me more now with these pictures are how small his head is and how apparent the chest gap looks
He looks amazing to me! Very very nice!
Still looks like a beergut to me to be honest.
(No I'm definitely not justifying the fact that I bought 4 truck bois here. Honest.)
