Time to buy the letters "F I X O P" and send 'em a picture.
Blue text means it's 100% realer than anything else you read on the internet
IDK, I'm getting it. Regardless of the abs...
Its just perfect in scale to fit well with these guys..
And honestly its about the most movie accurate MPM04 that will be hitting the market. Not to mention Wei Jiang always has an excellent paint job, which holds up extremely well during transformation and posing.
Looks great in truck mode..
And the ingenius engineering in the back section is just so much better then LT02 and the Original MPM04, that for me. I will finally feel like I have a perfect transforming Movie Bayverse Optimus Prime.
Now, if Wei Jiang and BA can work on giving us a good Ironhide in a slightly larger scale, along with Ratchet, and an MPM Jazz. I'll be set! I hope they take the 2007 Movie Megatron MPM that TT puts out, and OS it to be larger, but still shorter then the BMB ROTF OS SS Megatron, then scale wise, I'll have a great cross section of that 07 movie, along with a few other MPMs that come. My goal is to collect the 2007 bots, and pick and choose those from ROTF, DOTM, and AOE or TLK that I love. DX9 La Hire is definitely another pick up for me.
This will look amazing next to the WJ/BA Optimus Prime and my LT01 Bumblebee..
Love this guy. Can't wait to get both! That leaves the new Brawl coming out, and for me to get Hide Shadow. Now once all those are acquired, sure hoping for that Ironhide, Jazz, and Ratchet bots. I own already the BMB OS SS Starscream, and ROTF Megs. LT02 and LT01. So I have a long way to go there. All while still trying to build my MP classic G1 collection. Its definitely a process..to be sure.
Other then that, I definitely want those Travis Knight bots. Optimus will look great next to this guy. For me at least BB Optimus feels like a prequel version.
A really good ratchet is missing
We get it, but they've already said it's not possible without completely restructuring the figure.
But we will push WJ anyways or we won't buy it cuz that's how we are.
This but unironically
Any news on accessories? Like with the BMB DOTM version. It comes with the knuckle dusters, the axe, the hooks, the BFG, and other accessories, I'm hoping this gets some of those too.
I guess it will get the standard accessories. And then someone will make these accessories. Perhaps?
Yeah I think we would’ve seen anything new by now, but honestly I’m satisfied with what they’re giving us. Only thing I’m hoping for is that they kept the flip out battle mask feature. Idk if they were able to since the plastic may not be solid enough at that size
Hey guys, I've been on this forum since it was at 40 pages, but I only recently made an account. So far, I think the best thing we can do is to hope that they make a DOTM version; that way, the abs sticking out wont really matter as much to me.
In the listings sais that's a ROTF and DOTM, probably will have two intercheangable ABS.
I think the biggest wait right now is getting the paint application right without chipping and nailing the tolerances. We have had to wait this long, I don't want something substandard.
Did watch the entire video - has nothing to do with this thread beyond the name "Optimus Prime" and that it's one of his Bayverse incarnations. It's just a few shots from a show for AA's Hound, El Cid V2 and Soundwave, with a bit of text in between.
@frdx This thread is about Wei Jiang's oversized/modified MPM-4, which is based on his 2007 movie appearance. I believe they're discussing the one in the video you linked over in the original El Cid thread, pending a better designation for it than "El Cid V2".
Thanks for taking one for the team! I was on mobile and it's garbage.
Waiting patiently for this guy....
WoW, almost 5 threads of replies and absolutely not news.
I'll be waiting here...
Would love an update! Hopefully we'll see something soon XD
Got this guy on preorder anyway and have pretty good faith that BA/Weijiang will deliver an awesome product!
