He looks terrific in color but I'm surprised to see that his abs still aren't angled down. I figured it was a simple mistransformation on the previous test shot but now I'm a bit worried that they might not actually be able to tuck in neatly.

Now this is the Masterpiece Movie Optimus we've should've gotten! Everything looks amazing except for the ab pieces. Similar situation with the coloured test-shots, I forgot about it but was it a mistransformation thing or is it supposed to jut out that far? Regardless, I was set on getting this anyway.

There's paint in all the right places, despite them saying there are minor details they skipped out since this is just a hand-painted prototype. I hope we get more images soon, I want to see what he looks like without the poses and angle shots. It'll give a better idea of how he looks overall.

I just want to see him standing normally, the action poses make his chest look twice the size it is. Otherwise, PUMPED!

I’m glad the swords are actually accurate this time. Was kind of tired of those goofy ass ones they did for every mold or representation it seemed like

Want to explain? Cause otherwise this kinda just goes into the bin of “pointless comments to be ignored”

I really hope the people in the Chinese forums are hounding him about the abs. I really thought this was going to be the perfect MPM Optimus, but those ABS!!!! they were perfect in the original prototype :(

    I don't see any chrome.
There better be chrome and metallic paint ALL OVER.
    I'm serious.

Yucks! No chrome please! (Though there probably will be.) Chrome scratches, fades, flakes and worse of all, attracts fingerprints like crazy!

I'm with you. It's better to have metallic paint like LT's , than chrome...

I feel like I may be the minority here, but does anyone else not like the black windows? I know they help cover the robot parts in truck mode but in the movie they were clear and it bugs me a little.

This is fantastic. For those worried about the abs sticking out. I believe its just not tucked in and could be related to the work he is doing. Look at image #2. You can clearly see the hinge to the right under the ab isn't pushed back all the way, if you have MPM04 or LT02 you know what that is. Its not because of his mod, I'm convinced he doesn't have it recessed all the way. That's fine. Also note the top of the abs on both sides still have that notch in them. I think its definitely just not pushed in all the way.

Point 2. This is a prepainted and hand painted sample. Its missing paint in areas. The paint is just a guide for the final production. I think once everything is finalized, we will finally see those abs pushed in and everything tucked away neatly. It may be they told him for the purposes of the mold not to tuck stuff in too tight.

Also I'm good with no chrome. We all know how poor chrome holds up over time. Give me that LT02 paint. They scratched the hell out of it with a knife, and nothing!!..so I hope this gets that kind of treatment. This is the Prime we all should have gotten.

Hope there's wrist rotation, or preferably that they're on a ball joint. They're always in the same position in those shots tho, which isn't a great sign.

yeah, chrome holds up terribly over time, one thing I'd really like them to do paint wise is to make the blue more purplish, like what you see on lt02, and also add a coating that prevents paint scratches. After all, all of that's already been done on lt02

Still not liking how sharp the edges are on his ab pieces, but he does look good.
