I still prefer the abs on the other MPMs but this figure does everything else better, as mentioned above.

Yeah, I get all that, but why does that not apply to the chest configuration, which is also more accurate? That has been the main point of contention for most people here. Just pure aesthetics?

For me, it's different enough than the MPM with many improvements over the MPM. I don't like the big gap of the sternum or the seemingly small head, but I'm not going to waste time and posts dwelling and nagging about it.

I'm happy to see that there's some play to how the ab covers can be positioned too.

Yeah, at the end of the day, I guess it's a good thing that you at least have options. Guess if that's what people like, then so be it. I'll just have to chalk that one down to a fundamental difference in ideologies and move on.

It's a toy that's a bit over a $100 USD that brings a lot of great ideas and creativity to a figure that's been through countless iterations. I take it for what it is and accept what I paid for... (Release it already!!! Lol)

If its proportions were more akin to my custom Studio Series scale Optimus, but at that +/- 29cm height... :rock :rock :rock

I think you might be overthinking it. At the end of the day we're just some guys that want a nice looking piece of plastic in our hands that represents a character or design we love. Some of us appreciate the several modifications and improvements made, while others expected this figure to be near perfection. Don't get me wrong, I wish this guy had a slightly more accurate chest, but the absolute child-like joy I get from looking at him and his accuracies make me more than satisfied. I think that's how a lot of other people see it too.

    Thanks! It's a nontransformable custom.

I also appreciate your post about being joyful. That's a huge point to being a transformers fan.

This thread is blowing my mind. Here we have an optimus ILM model that is just not physically possible, and this toy comes this close, and the thread is all "but what about this thing that's 1 degree off and 5% too small".

    Ha ha ha...

I personally think it's great that there are so many moving parts that we each can display it in a way that we each enjoy.
That's what makes this figure so great, is there is a variety of options, with the orginal MPM it was only either extended hips or not.

I have shared several of my customs on this forum over the years, but those would not be right to share on this thread. I only shared that custom as a comparison for the WJ's proportions, and probably for an added shameless plug, Lol.

Another positive imo is that it costs less than the original MPM. I paid around $130 for the MPM, and then I paid about $80 for the LT KO.

Plus, judging by recent photos on this thread, I'm looking forward to this being in better scale to MPM Bumblebee!
