Why not just a replacement chest front?

If the modular design idea I mentioned is used, that would be fine. A one piece cockpit with mounting holes for a chest plate would be adaptable to many different CW figures. Numerous chest plates could be made to work with it.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone else who does TF parts on Shapeways that might have interest in my idea? I love Trentulas' work and have some of his stuff in my cart currently, but he is tied up with other projects and has a million requests already. My idea to replace the CW connector with a cockpit and headmaster port is a sure hit. Surely someone has interest.

Love the G1 toy accurate Legends heads for Windcharger and Brawn (both printed in Black Hi-Def Acrylate). Has anyone tried removing POTP Beachcomber's head? He could use a vintage head too! Bumblebee as well!

I didn't remove it, but I did grab one up for super cheap that was missing the head, it sits on a mushroom peg, I'm currently looking for a good option for a countdown head

If you turn his head to either side too much it starts to split. But it can go back on and doing that doesn’t break it.

I like that Brawn head. Im not really into the whole "toy" aspect, but since I have both versions id like to differentiate the Hasbro from the Takara. Microman Brawn can be like a generic Cybertronian character on my shelf. No need for the windcharger head since he has a universal paint scheme.

All of your POTP stuff has really been hitting the mark, but I am unreasonably excited to see these arms once available.

G1 Stinger, Made with the Wasp head for Titans Return Bumblebee/Roadburn or PotP Windcharger/Tailgate.

I also went kinda nuts with the backstory:

Created by Dr. Arkeville, Stinger was an attempt to create a artificial transformer using plans reverse-engineered from scans of the Autobot minibots. The intent was to create an infiltrator unit. To get the rare materials needed, Arkeville harvested the battle-smashed remains of Insecticon drones. The Doctor re-purposed the Insecticon self-replication technology to provide Stinger with remarkable self-repair abilities.

This proved the ruination of the plan, as upon activation Stinger’s auto-repair systems reconfigured his appearance and energy signature into an Autobot/Insecticon hybrid, making his true nature obvious. Moreover, a routine intended to improve Stinger’s AI with each self-repair resulted not in an increase in combat capability, but an increase in personality and autonomy with every defeat.

The resulting “clone” lacks Vector Sigma’s programming/a spark, but shows a degree of autonomy that surpasses that of ordinary drones. Each iteration of his AI seems more reckless and daring than the last. Dr. Arkeville believes this is a sign of an emerging ‘wild-bot’ personality, but Starscream suspects the drone is intentionally destroying itself in order to continue its evolution. Who will Stinger become?
