this guy is the product of being bored at work one day. shortly after he came out, my mind started to wander at said work on how i could do him up as an outrider. and me being the type that once i get something in my head i cant let it go til i do it, i went out and bought him and the rest is what you see before you also, i did some gray dry brushing on his arms and part of his legs. i think i was going for some kinda weathering effect. been so long i cant remember why i did it, but it looks cool regardless and the lead-in pic kicks ASS!!!
I really do love the color scheme on these guys. The matte finish sets it off nicely. Awesome job, can't wait to see the rest.
thats what i thought. wanted to make sure before i told my lil story lol back when i first started, i didnt know the difference between flat and gloss. when i was doing cryotex up, i ran out of one and started using the other. so he looks have flat and half shiny lol (that was ALSO befor ei started using spraypaint. i did cryotek ENTIRELY by hand, every square inch of that bugger) i swear by flat colors now. or atleast something thatll give it that look. shiny bots are ok when they first roll off the assembly line, but i want mine to look like theyve been a fight or 2 and thank ya tony im glad i did him. hes very cool
Whoa, sweetness. Now this is going to sound stupid as hell, but I think the outriders could be the more mentally challenged cousins of the junkions, but the colors are different of course, its maybe the orange or red like color that spark my idea.
When you showed all the Outrider crew...this was the second tf to jump out at me...the first was Unicron himself
that looks so much better than the original, i like the way you have created your own characters instead of copying existing ones,
