Nah, the fact that it was confusing couldn't really be helped. The fact that it makes perfect sense makes up for it anyway. And I can totally relate to the problem of getting off one's butt and doing actual COMIC WORK ONCE IN A WHILE...
Now that there is a big payoff ending. Those shots with Megs and the Seekers arriving....Brilliant. Keep it up brother, I've been reading this from the beginning and it just keeps getting better. Thanx Transbot90210
Ah, so now "Out of the Dead Land" has two meanings? First, all the zombies, then Megatron and the jets return. No wonder this war never ends... the dead just can't stay dead.
HOLY SHIT! Just read the latest update. This is gonna be good, damn good. I admire your story telling skills
I was reading through your season finale again, I can't belive I didn't notice this earlier. Is Ratchet a Trekkie? I am of course refering to Ratchets display screen when he was trying to fix Hound.
Now I really, really, REALLY need to catch up on this story. I found this thread in the middle of season 3. I haven't read the first two at all. The .PDF versions I once had are gone, hard drive crash from last year. You don't have those on mediafire or some other download service anymore?
To my shame, I’ve never actually seen Full Metal Alchemist (my anime experience is kinda limited to Ghost in the Shell and Black Lagoon), but it’s interesting that the parallel exists. I suspect it comes from the same idea of not wanting to let a character play with vast, powerful forces without having to pay some kind of price, left they become too powerful and unbalance the story. In this case it also underlines what Ravage is prepared to sacrifice for his Lord and his ideals. Hopefully, it also shows that the Engine is something slightly beyond the ken. Ravage isn’t just using a device the way you or I would use a car or a PC; he had to ask for something, and it laid down conditions before it would accept… Dude, fistbump. Total fistbump. Thanks guys. More will be on the way, in a couple of months or so. HELL YEAH! Ah yes, those seekers… That pic is now slightly inaccurate, as I’ve just pre-ordered the Coneheads from TFSource, so assuming they’ve got enough stock to fill my order, I’ll have seven seekers to play with in Season 4. It won’t change the overall arc of the story, but it will increase the depth and breadth of the tale somewhat. It’s costing me a fortune in coffin lids… Actually, the Engine has many scary and arcane powers, but interestingly enough, one of the things it can’t do is resurrect the dead… Yep, it’s Acid Storm, the Rainmaker who can summon a nasty, corrosive squall out of nowhere to ruin your day. He’s…kinda creepy. Thanks AC. Nice. The shturt we cling to often dneped upon our tniop fo weiv. LCARS is fantastic for creating cool looking display interfaces without having to design them from scratch. Though this does raise the question: Would a race of mechanical beings use display screens to obtain information, or would they just have the info transmitted directly into their consciousness, thus bypassing the need for optical processing and the inherent slowdown therein? Personally, I suspect the latter, though it would make it hard from a story telling perspective to show an audience what they characters are seeing and reacting to, which is why I tend to use the former. Urgh, how pretentious do I sound there? Blergh. Whoops. Yeah, my bad. Mediafire kept giving me problems, so I’m trying to get an alternate hosting site sorted out. It’s on the list of things to do, honest.
Definitely a worthwhile purchase. Once you start getting to around 6 MP Seekers, it becomes very impressive. Any more just adds to it. The idea of having enough MP Seekers to fill a given shot to overflowing really gives the sense of a much larger force, and makes them very imposing in jet form. My Coneheads will have a to wait a bit for any potential windows to be introduced into the comic, but I'm prolly going to do a few fun 'fleet' pics.
I feel bad for not following this comic as frequent as I should. But reading them all in one swoop just leaves me breathless. Breathtaking shots, photoshoppery and plot there. All I can say is : 1) I enjoyed EVERY frame 2) Saviour EVERY dialogue 3) Felt multiple levels of emotions ranging from sad to happy to everything else 4) Crap in my pants for all the action sequences 5) Went out to buy some Alt/BTs after seeing what you did them them 6) Felt VERY SATISFIED with the season finale. So in the end, this is one of the best comics in the funnies section (among other greats) with competent storyline and consistent quality throughout. Seriously, your work makes me want to get back into comic making. But I know it is not going to be anytime soon, but I will be doing it, definitely. Hats off to you coolhand for such a wonderful season. I am eagerly waiting for the next season. You have my sincerest gratitude across the Britney blue. And oh yes, the obligatory baysplosions to indicate how epic your work is:-
Feh, they were just in the second flight, so they hadn't flown in yet. I mean, at some point, you just have too many characters in one shot. This makes the point, and you can work out a "G1-season 2 reason" for new characters later.
