And the final battle wasn't too far away from being a disaster.
As a whole the Michael Bay Transformers Trilogy is crap with few awesome and good moments. (and by that action scenes and voice acting)
A judgement about it can't be simplified like that in my opinion. There are more aspects and layers to it. Imo, it was a huge succes in many of those aspects, but a huge failure in many other aspects too....and it pains me to see that in my opinion, DOTM mostly attributed to the failure part.
1 and 3 are tied IMO. I love the story in 1 but love the action and robot designs in 3
Are we including the 1980's cartoon movie?
The 1st film is the best for story, the 2nd best for action, and the 3rd........well the 3rd was just crap.
I dislike it story wise, charecter wise and vision wise.
That's the important stuff about the movie espicially the trilogy.
Also if the fans can come up with better stuff than the movies like alternate endings and what not.....then it's failed in my books.
Dark of the Moon, for me.
Yeah! It's rare that I take the time to stop and think that I could have written a better movie than one I just saw, but when I left my first showing of DOTM, and I immediately told my party that I really didn't like it, that I actually enjoyed ROTF more, well, then there is something wrong with a movie when I enjoy the "worst movie in history" over the new one.
What DOTM failed in my opinion, was some real damn good fights between the Transformers. The only one we got close to was the Mexican standoff, but it still sucked compared to Sideswipe vs Sidesways in ROTF.
The G1 movie.
This is pretty much how I've broken all of the movies down in terms of significance:
Best Film = TF1
Best Series Sequel = DOTM
Best Hype = ROTF
DOTM. But man I remember the awe of seeing the first movie. That alone will always have an effect on me.
First one, DOTM a close second.
I was 19 when the first movie came out and left the theatre as a happy 8 year old
First; while flawed, it was the only one with any heart. The others were just explosion porn.
Revenge of the Fallen!!
Someone posts a "Can't tell if troll" meme in 3...2...
I think TFTM 2007 was the best cause it had more character development of the 'Bots than ROTF and DOTM ! I didn't hate those movies , just found them a little dissapointing . RoTF was good , but could've been better without all that goofy bs . DoTM was also good , but Ironhide .. :'( . Why , just why . xD Anyways it could've been shorter , cut out all of that stuff with his parents and his jobs , add more robot character development . Now I may sound like I'm ranting but DoTM could've been such an awesome movie , but it turned out to be a little dissapointing . My favourite characters pretty much got shafted in this movie . Ironhide died , Sideswipe barely did anything , Ratchet also barely did anything , and Dino .. He's so cool and he had like 5 minutes of screen time . I don't even remember seeing him in the Chicago battle . So yeah , TFTM 2007 was the best . It kinda showcased the 'Bots and 'Cons more than the rest of the series . So yeah !
I plee the fifth.
