I really liked the 1st but DOTM takes the cake for me. Alot of action and Sentinel's betrayel was a excellent plot twist.

The first one. Had the best character development, best overall cast, and a decent plot.

DOTM had the better plot, but I thought it's action sequences and fights and character development was not on par.

ROTF has the best damn fight throughout the whole trilogy, which is why this movie still cannot be ignored. I also thought the character development of Jetfire and Wheelie for that matter was much better in ROTF than anything in DOTM.

For "best damn fight," do you refer to the battle in the forest where Prime buys (or maybe just leases) the farm?

That was a kick-ass action scene. Better than the overkill in DotM.

Unless your refer to some other fight...

DOTM, I didn't like TF1, i found it quite boring and ROTF was an improvement from the first one but DOTM was the best.

I really enjoyed DOTM (and ROTF really) but I find it lacks a certain something that only TF1 had. I don't know why but I just like TF1 better.
I have to agree that some things in DOTM seemed a bit overkill. As a fan of the Decepticons when I was watching the highway scene I kept thinking "That looks awesome but what are the Dreads actually doing? Their just looking cool as if to show off and are not actually having any effect.". I can never think of the highway scene and think of iit as anything more than pretty effects with nothing in it that actually makes sense.

The first film is the best in my opinion.

Of course I'm talking about The Forest Fight. It's probably one of the best fights I've seen in any movie, very, very well done! We needed more of this shit in DOTM! I actually liked almost all of the fights in the first two movies far more than anything in DOTM. Optimus vs Demolisher was better than his fight with Shockwave, and I thought his quick fight with Megatron and The Fallen was better than Sentinel and Megatron in DOTM. Bumblebee taking on Ravage and Rampage was also better than him taking on Soundwave. I just think for a movie that's was supposed to be promising us the best action and fight sequences in the trilogy, DOTM failed, horribly!

I find that the fights in DOTM where epic but lacked the personal feel of the first too.
For example the highway scene had three cons VS at least four Bots and it was never broken down into any individuals. Also most the movie only had Bots with little development VS generic Protoforms that all look the same.

I'm just going to say, probably about the time when Optimus got stuck in the wires, I just had this feeling that Michael Bay and company were officially drained of any creative impulses to complete this film with their full heart into it. I think they just got tired of the franchise and got burned out and wanted to end it as quickly as they could. That's my take on it. Next time, we need someone that actually gives a damn about the Transformers, and not afraid to tell the studios that the movie will be finished when IT IS FINISHED, not whatever your ridiculous deadline calls for.
