Yeah, it's guys like this who make me hate the KO's. If they weren't made to look like G1 originals he wouldn't be able to do this.

He's had KO Ops up recently as vintage as well, I watched it twice so I could email any buyer, but it didn't sell.

He must have a huge collection!! As all of his TF's come from his personal collection *cough, cough*, even I don't have that many of my favourite characters (I've got at least 7 different G1 Ravages).

I wouldn't normally get so involved, but this guy could put new fans off, he clearly knows what he's doing, and it's fraud, pure and simple.

If we mail him through ebay pointing out the differences between vintage and his KO's, can we report him to ebay, would they care? (My feeling is probably not).

Apart from that, I don't think there is anything else we can do, the ebay "protected ID's" rule prevent a bidder/buyer being contacted.

I just feel bad for anyone who pays vintage for a KO.

EDIT: Agreed on Ratchet, he seems to have the KO's and various re-issues as vintage. Grrrrrrr

He sells the tru reissue prowls frequently, he used to buy parts from my store and always the same ones (smokescreen/prowl gun and prowl launchers and missiles) which was what initially got me sniffy, one of my regulars asked me about trademarking (china japan) as he had bought a prowl and compared it to his tru versuion and it turns out our friend here thinks because they are dated 84 etc you cant tell them apart, he ages them by light paint rubbing etc and then punts them out as vintage, I refuse to sell him parts but its hard to keep tabs if he has an alt ID, I've also reported him to ebay and flag it up here when he is about, I'm pretty sure he reads the boards as last time I posted he switched the auctions from one ID to the other.

DOUCHE is a good word too. :)

Of course he can! He's just playin you.

Here's his biggest mistake, all his auctions are blatant key-word spamming, so you want to get his shit taken down fast? Report him here:

The soundwave he has looks pretty real. and what about all that extra stuff he's giving away with it? that stuff ain't worth what he says it is. He must have a whole lot of that junk lying around if he's gonna give it away with ALL of his auctions.

Yeah, I've come across this guy before. I mentioned it to him the first time I noticed it and he basically responded with the same thing he did with the guy on this board. That he'd 'owned them for -insert fake time here- and how I know to tell them apart'... I thought about telling him, but than I thought he'd attempt to figure out how to remove said things or change them up or make them unnoticeable or something... best thing anyone can do is what is being done right now. Red flag him to the fandom so that no one gets suckered by his B.S.

He had a wheeljack up (BIN 80 pounds) that look perfect - I looked at it then got suspicious. However, someone did buy it - was that someone from around here?

Just to ask a question..Who sets the prices for these? If they were original,or authorized (Like the TRU Re-Issues) they would have some ground but since these are UNAUTHORIZED (I don't care how good they are) who sets the ridiculous prices of $49.99 + for these especailly since these didn't cost that much to make?? I wish they people would just go away or the company that makes them to sell them at a "normal" level..They are after all KO same as the KO's that make it to the US in generic boxes and they go for cheap..same with this crap.

All the extras he mentions are scans on a CD/DVD. Actual paperwork/comics are worth a lot, cost of a blank DVD is miniscule.

Was this boxed? I ask as I didn't think loose Wheeljack was worth this much, glad I got mine when I did. There is a KO Wheeljack coming, but I don't think anyone's seen it yet.

Price is set by the seller, presumably high as they look like the actual vintages. Prices are also possibly high to recoup some of what they paid for their stock, ebay is permanently clogged with them, with only a handful seeming to sell.
