I had this idea where the Quintessons would have gone to war with the Vok.

It would be glorious.

I thought the Quints in the original show were great. Their statistical probabilities chatter totally went over my head as a kid, but hearing it now makes them compelling and ruthless villains. I'd like to see them brought back in some continuity.

 

The Vok would be nice to have back.

I second the notion for the Vok and Quintessons. They need to show up in PRIME or something. (Inb4'but PRIME would ruin them'!)

Though Swindle has at least confirmed their existence in Animated.   (As well as Daleks, apparently.)

or at least a story featuring vector prime and omega prime getting 1 of the universes to help the failing gobotron universe. and vector prime implying that the gobotronians are kind of special ... becuase they are on the farthest edge of the universal time stream.

anyway according to the G1 tv series storyline....didn't the Quints invent or create the Transformers? if so(unless i'm wrong).....they should be an integral part of any current series.

although I doubt we'd see them in any of the up n coming Bayformers movies

 

They did in the cartoons and were overthrown and chased away from Cybertron.

 

The Quints and Vok would be awesome.

 

To be honest, I hate the idea that the Quints created the Cybertronian race almost as much as I hate the Primus/Unicron myth (I like the Guiding Hand because it's Kirby-esque).

If anything had to create the Cybertronians, I'd like to see it be a long-extinct alien race (perhaps wiped out by another one of their creations) or at least something that's as "above" Cybertronians as Cybertronians are above us. Perhaps interdimensional energy beings like the Vok?

 

Didn't the the TFP crew confirm that we're supposed to be getting Quintessons eventually?

 

In a show about life from outer space coming to earth, it makes sense for there to be OTHER races as well. That being said, however, if the series takes place predominantly on earth or cybertron, it can "muddy the waters" of the concept a bit to add other alien races to the mix, and can lead to other episodic problems if the other races show up too often (or too numerously) in space.

It's definitely something that COULD be done, however.
