‘rises about 40 virtual feet’ so that could be taken as a rounded up figure but really I think he can be either 35, 40 or anywhere in-between and it’s fine. As long as he’s not smaller than Megatron it works.

does not scale too well for me, if we go by red goblin's chart, shockwave should be more than twice the height of barricade and the same size as megatron, but he looks both too small for shake sky wing and LS12, and too large for mpm8, i don't know what he is supposed to be in scale with, but i might be judging too early

I agree with this. People tend to complain a lot about BMB/Aoyi these days but from my own experience most of my purchases from them were very good (for the price) - LS-09 Ironhide, LS-11 Scorn, LS-05 Grimlock, LS-01 Nitro Zeus, LS-02 Barricade, LS-04 Starscream, LS-03 Optimus - all good toys. Even my Jazz turned out to be a good copy, yes the paint chipping is present but mostly to my own incompetence.
I'm only worried that SS Shockwave is a retool of SS RotF Megatron because LS-06 Megatron was my worst toy from Black Mamba :lol  Die cast elements and large size in combination with lack of ratchets resulted in loose joints :thumbdown  but I believe this guy has a chance of being good even if it's really BMB :)

sounds like some of Takara masterpieces...
Except for many Thunder Leader's breakage reports (including mine), Hide Shadow Blackout yellowing over time or some more breakages of their Sqweeks. There are no perfect companies

It would be nice if the smaller Masterpiece Movie car bots had a slightly bigger size as an option - sure they make some bigger bumblebee's but I just like the idea of the Car ones being just a wee bit bigger - not much - just a little bit. when I put MP Barricade or his copy next to some of the others he just seems a bit undersized compared to some 3rd party items in either mode - where as some of the bigger Bumblebee's are a bit to large - I think they'd also be more fun to play with if some of them were bigger and so a bit less fiddly - conversly something like AM's Scorn might be nicer to have in a size between the giant and the standard size - for similar reasons - big enough to be impressive - not so big it's risking damaging itself with it's own mass.

Agreed, but there are ones that have a worse track record.

That paint looks a bit rough, which is weird considering the SS looked like a 3A model, but more importantly 35cm is WAAAAY too big, and this OS scale nonsense is getting ridiculous

might just buy the SS and go for the voyager soundwave look

Okay, the light-up eye is AWESOME. I usually think lights & sounds are unnecessary on transformers, but this is one of the exceptions.

Is that the price this guy will cost or just a guestimate?

    OS is for MPM SCALE!
Or do you think a SS Shockwave looks cool next to BA Prime?

To each of their own. While you are calling this 35cm ridiculous, some collector is calling the SS size insanely small. Then you will have legend scale collector calling SS scale to be too big for no reason

It's all depending on what do you want to scale it with and choices are always good

Not really, at least these newer BMB KOs are something else way bigger than MPM, and yeah the SS will look a bit riducoulus, but I'd rather too small than not being able to fit on my shelf

Actually given the whole thing where scale chart translates feet to cm for the MPM line, shockwave according to his scale chart is the perfect size at 35cm or 35 feet. If anything he’s smaller than he needs to be using the 40 foot measurement some use.

huh, not sure about the strict cm = ft as an mp scale thing, still seems off (maybe it's based off the mpm carbots which are too big)

    EDIT:

There we are, this seems more like it

Anyway I for one is a sucker for nice transformable mold rather scale. Scale is not my main priority as I have know there's no way you can scale everything together unless you mix between legends and chuc and OS. Haslab Unicron will be forever out of scale for MP and Bayverse Grimlock out there will be forever out of scale for all MPM.

If I think the size is too small or too big for my liking then I'll skip. If I like the size or value of it, I'll buy. If it can scale my other figure, I will treat it as a bonus. It will be a damned for me if I skip the figure just because of scale, of cos if I could afford it.
