Ahh I understand, my apologies, your quotation part made me think that it was about ShowZ. I agree tho, they shouldn't be charging a product $100 that has such a common and fatal issue

Well, if you ordered from ShowZ, good news (or medicore news, or possible bad news, you decide) according to my order, it has shipped. So expect some more pics and such from people receiving there toy. Also, have we just had the 6 hip breaks? Or have there been more? Cause 6 out of a few hundred is good odds. Overall, I wanna see someone put the figure through torture to see if it holds up.

    Fingers crossed then

    Just remember:
    - tighten the screws in the ankles
    - loose the screws in the hips
Not the other way around!!! :lol

Ok this is good though, if you get the figure and loosen the screws a touch, it should fix the whole issue right?
I mean we're all grown colectors that should have access to screwdrivers.

And before anyone jumps on me on it, yes this shouldn't be an issue in the first place, yada yada, QC down the toilet, so on, so forth.
Atleast there is hope that a few turns of the screws may remedy having to order replacement parts and for that I am thankful :D

The amount of precautionary fixes I’ve done to new figures just to safeguard against any potential issues down the line- lubing joints up, installing fillers, shaving this and that- a light turn of a screw is no biggy but I still prefer not having to do anything.

It really just seems like a poorly constructed joint that’s way too thin for such a pivotal area and crappy materials probably also have a part to play. 100 bucks should ensure better quality.

I've a feeling a lot of these overpriced and oversized KO's are using electronics to bring the price up.
BMB seems to have to have lights somewhere on theirs but I'd much rather have no lights and stronger materials.

Totally. I never need lights. Just paint the damn thing to give the illusion of an internal light source. Beats dead eyes every time. I have an imagination that can fill in the rest.

Particularly amazing and forthright of ShowZ to notify potential customers of a serious problem with this release right there in the product listing. They didn't have to do it and risk losing sales. ShowZ CS is epic.

I was already a bit on the fence once learning this is actually BMB, the hand still being rubber as well as the figure being too big for official mpm. I was letting that all pass. But, this hip issue put me over the top. I have canceled my order. I may revisit this at a later date if the issue turns out to not be widespread as it seems right now. I volunteered store credit instead of refund. I'm sure I'll still use the funds with them very soon.

This is the risk with altered scale KO. They just upscale or downscale. They do not do the engineering checks and stress analysis that 1st party has to do as part of child safety. Even 3rd party does a lot of checks just to maintain a high quality and reputation. KO companies change their names often because their reputation is sketchy to begin with. This joint was pretty shitty on the original figure. I'm not surprised that it is failing on an upscale with thinner plastic. EDIT: but, I am disappointed

As some reviewer said, "when you just upscale a figure you also upscale its problems", hopefully they will fix this in the second batch or somebody releases a video on how to fix it.

It seems KO companies stopped doing improvements to the Hasbro toys and just enlarged them and price them as close as MP prices as possible.

yeah, I'll wait for either scenario. In the meantime, I have already used my store credit to order something else.
This was always the case. Improvements are very rare.

It has always been like this with Black Mamba
    - oversize
    - LEDs
    - fancy paint
    - ever so slight modifications like the hip area in this case, articulated fingers or the extra hinge behind the ankles
Companies like Legendary Toys offer improvements quality wise and Wei Jiang can turn every figure into a proper masterpiece.

For me, this looks too good to pass either way :)  I'm getting more hyped with each review or even a set of new images. And if something goes wrong I'll just glue it in some cool pose and wait for a replacement :banghead:  I really can't help it :drunk

I'm not trying to sound like a lazy bum, but would anyone be willing to post a vid of them loosening the screws on this figure (when it comes out of course and to see if it works)? I just really want this figure to be perfect

I'm no reviewer but mine is on the way right now and I'll be doing just that as soon as it gets here so I don't mind filming it :)
