After seeing these I'm getting flashbacks to MP-43 and all the reports of the crotch/hips just cracking apart and that was official Hasbro Materpiece.
Luckily I never had that problem with mine and hope I don't have this problem with Shockers.
Breakages coming out are gunna be heard most but we won't hear mch from happy customers because there won't be the scrutiny that broken products have.

Well, consider me bummed out. I could probably design and print replacement parts from PETG, but knowing that I'd have to straight from new is flat out unacceptable. Replacement parts for an aesthetic or design choice are one thing, but replacement parts for a failure are entirely another. What's worse, there's a part of me that's still considering getting one (you have to admit it looks fantastic when it's in one piece) with the knowledge that I could do such fixes to it.

This is how you sink a brand. First cab off the rank, lots of anticipation, and you botch the execution in a way that is going to become very apparent. Those legs are going to offer a huge amount of leverage because of his size, so those joints in particular are going to get exposed real quick if they're no good. The fracturing of the panel it holds on to is just salting the wounds.

Possibly the most concerning part, though, is that there's pictures of FT *Iceman* (not Goose as I first wrote) with similar looking breaks. So it's possible the issue actually stems from a bad plastic batch/formula, which could find its way into more production facilities from other companies.

 

FT Iceman's hips are breaking left and right and nobody bats an eye. I'm not worried, especially if I'm just able to get replacement pieces via retailer.

 

which ROTF Megatron is that? Is it the BMB or the Dream Factory one?

 

Looks like BMB, DF is less bulky and has less spiky threads.

It's the Leafage Shockwave, he's this modeler that makes really rare untransformable figures. Capcomkai often promotes his figures

No, but they've been pretty silent about the SS KO's

 

That's a shame. Might be worth getting a non transforming version.

 

WeiJiang still releases stuff, they just take a while. Fire Scorpion BB OP is coming out soon so they're still alive. They just don't do a lot of OS SS KO's that often, I'm pretty sure the last one they did was SS BB Optimus and that was several months back

Well... that'll cost you about $600

 

Latest news is WJ in deep trouble now, the boss and some employees were taken into custody, sued by Hasbro and Disney. If it's true, BMB will stay low for a while too.

This is troubling news. 

 

Anyone have any news from Dream Factory on their shockwave or whether they will take the SS as inspiration to complete that project like they did for their Rotf Megs?

 

There have been almost the same amount of reports, and this thing hasen't even released yet. This is more of a design failure mixed with horrible QC.

This was doomed from the moment it was revealed to be part of MBM. The wait for a real shockwave continues.
