That battle damaged version of ROTF Megs is looking quite nice, especially that battle damaged head with the light up eyes

 

Mmmmm...(mouth waters) scaaaaaale.....

 

Paint apps look amazing on this guy.

 

They definitely got a nice finish on him. I can't help but feel disappointed with how muted the bronze-coloured pieces are - a little more saturation would have helped break up the "mass of polished steel" look he's otherwise got going on. It just loses something, like the Silver Chrome release of Reximus Prime. Though in fairness, Wei Jiang probably goes a little too far the other way and could stand to dial down the saturation a bit. At least IMO.

But I'm also pretty sure that alone won't stop me from getting one. I'll have to wait for English reviews of him and the Wei Jiang to be sure.

Anyone else feel like they over-sold that backpack? I mean, I guess it looks a tiny bit better from the front...

 

I decided to buy the Weijiang version, this guy still looks great and his maces are soooo much better than the Weijiang's but he's just a bit too tall in my opinion ;(

 

I like the maces better, the glowing eyes are nice, and the backpack modifications are meh...

But I think the copper paint details not being as vibrant as the wj version makes the biggest difference unfortunately for me. I mean, I'd probably click the light up eyes twice in my lifetime, will never use the mace and the backpack will always be towards the back of the shelf... Like @Thalyn mentioned, the aoyi just looks like a big mass of shiney silver. That's probably movie accurate (I could never tell wtf was going on in the movie) but just not really what I'm looking for.

But I'll see how he looks on the shelf all the time and think I'd really prefer the colors of the WJ. I hope he scales well with my other BMB megs...

I'd love an English review but I think just on looks alone, wj wins on this one for me.

 

Ok. The much hyped smaller backpack turns out to be just a minor mod of turning it 180 which doesn’t really improve the look drastically. He still has a huge backpack at the end of the day.

The overly shiny paintjob is also disappointing. He looks really flat now without any contrast.

The mace however is a massive improvement and one I wished WJ would have implemented.

 

I saw some pictures of wj mpm8 with ls06 and they were the same height.
That's why I think I'll also get the wj one. It will surely scale well with all the other bmbs, maybe only Optimus could look a little bit too tall (that's a personal feeling, by the way... For me is bmb OP a little too big, that's why I ordered the black apple one).

I can confirmed that the WJ OSKO MPM08 scales perfectly with BMB ROTF Megs.

 

And that's good, 'cause I want them both ;-)
I also hope we'll get an os Megatron in truck mode, somewhen... I'm a tf fan and a petrolhead, too!!!

 

Oh god... I bought this expecting that will fit fine with BA Prime, but now I can see that's enormous... what do you think??. BA prime is about 29cm and this LS12 37cm.  

 

I'll have the WJ OSKO in hand soon, but I do remember Megatron as a mass of silvery sharp bits more than anything, I might have been better off waiting for this guy. Sounds like he has good ratchets too, which was my deciding factor for the WJ. I didn't believe they'd add strong ones here when their ROTF Megs had none...

 

I mean, Wj Meg is 1 cm shortter than BMB. It wouldnt bother me at all

 

In the movie, Megatron had his knees bent a lot so maybe you could do something like that to make him look a bit smaller

 

I think BMB Megatron scales reasonably well with WJ BA Optimus.

The official charts placing Optimus at 28ft and Megatron at 35ft. Additionally, their sizes aren’t consistent in the films either, with both of them changing sizes slightly in different scenes (see optimus holding Witwicky’s glasses, where he seems smaller and the shot of Megatron’s frozen legs in sector seven, where he’s monstrously huge). 29cm to 37cm works perfectly fine to me.

Its name appears to be "噬心魔" or "Shì xīn mó" (I'm not 100% sure on that middle character), which they have translated to "Devouring the Heart Devil". If I got that middle character right, it perhaps more appropriately translates to "The Evil Within" or "Inner Demon".
