I’m still missing Long Haul and Hightower but so far I’ve got a mixed bag of what I feel are superior studio series upscales and poor quality KOs.

Scrapmetal, Overload and Rampage easily are very good figures

Mixmaster, mine has a loose shoulder joint and the smoke stacks keep bumping the arms but hey I can excuse that.

scrapper won’t stay in one piece and I have to keep tightening screws as well. Eventually this is going to shear the plastic
scavenger I feel as well won’t be able to hold the weight of the other constructicons either. Scrapper and mixmaster are pretty weighty and I know the Hightower and scrapmetal will also add a lot of stress. I’ll

well got my last two, gotta say dissapointed that they are more or less just simple diecast added upscales with no added articulation, specially where overloads arms are concerned. even just a few simple swivels to the claws arms wouldve been great to see

alright combined him looks amazing but i gotta ask why they didnt find a way to make the torso lock or the elbow ratchets stronger they cant hold up the weight!

 

I was hoping Scavenger would be a bit bigger. But still any bigger is an improvement.

Word of warning- my Scavenger was apparently oiled ahead of time (probably a good thing), but I ended up with oil all over my pants when I transformed him. They're in the wash now, hopefully not ruined.

I recently got shockwave lab upgrades for my siege jetfire and I feel I can design a 3D printed adaptor for them to fit into scavengers arm. These missiles definitely will add to the look and make Devastator appear more dynamic.

These seem to be chuck full of issues, My hightower has one of track attachments upside down,
my mixmaster broke when i was trying to attach it to the main body of scavenger....
The QA issues are numerous, also hightower is very loose in the hand mode. just awful....

 

I just remember way back when I originally had some reservations that the engineering wouldn’t be considerate of how the upscale would increase load on the plastic material, which is not denser to compensate. The same (or arguably worse quality) plastic doesn’t scale up with the size and weight increase. If anything, the stresses are worse than just the upscaling due to the added diecast. It’s exactly what happened.
All of those central rotating parts on Scavenger stress under the load of the arms in combined mode unless you pose him as a quadruped.
Incidentally it looks as if I’ll be getting replacement parts, so hopefully in the future combined mode can be treated a bit more gingerly.

Overall, still a good set.

 

I got Overload and Scavenger this week too. Scavenger's mask constantly falls off and will require gluing on, but the rest feels fine and solid. I bought the OS versions for individual bots. The combined mode is big (makes leader dinobots look like legends class) and heavy but needs OS DNA set to look good.

 

Very loose, as in the ratchet joint is weak? I found a fix for that on the original. If the joint is the same I can just upscale the ratchet tightener
