Very excited to hear this. I'm in love with the OS WJ figures. I'll be glad to add this to my collection.
Oh man, wait a sec... I just noticed that the accessories are way off. That's the same accessories that came with MPP 27. The original Ironhide weapons, plus a couple Ratchet guns. They just recolored the accessories and tray from the MPP 27. Kinda bummed. The wrenches and soldering gun are a lot of the fun of the MP Ratchet figure. I also notice they don't show an extra face with this set. I hope this is just a photo oversight (photoshop?) and that the final release will come with the correct accessories and tray.
I just want a Marvel Ratchet. Is that so hard? I suck at painting and even then it’s not as nice as already made that way.
It amazes me how much removing the van bumper from the front of his torso improves the look of both this and Ironhide
Oh, definitely. And the back is much better as well. I wasn't thrilled with Ironhide's hipskirts and droopy knockers at all, but liked the figure. I got the SF skirt mod, and it made a large improvement, but I was still not-so-happy with the droopy boobs/beergut, and the huge gape in his lower back section when viewed from behind. I got the OS MP27 and was so impressed. Everything was better. The hipskirts gone, the bumper gone, and the wheels and bumper fill in that horrible gap in the back section. I wish they had made a regular size of these KOs as well, I would definitely double dip and replaced my regular ones.
Awesome, have been waiting for a while. Needs to come with the v2 head for Ironhide. Needs Ratchets tools not an arsenal for Ironhide.
I've been waiting for this for a while, so it's bought on sight. However, really disappointed that it's shipping with the same accessories as OS Ironhide.
NO!!! Take it back!!! Don't you dare say that. I'm so deep into my MP collection I can't afford to start again. Plus I have no room for the stuff I already have, I can't imagine where I would put OS figures. I'm just going to sit over here with my fingers in my ears humming loudly and pretending not to hear you. On a serious note, I do really like the look of these OS figures, especially the changes done to Ironhide and Ratchet. Very nice indeed. Those mould fixes are what TT shold have done in the first place.
Nah, it's more the huge sums of money already sunk into my existing MP colelction. I'm jus a few figures short of completeing Season 1 and not far off Season 2 either. My wallet couldn't take starting again. I do have the WJ MPP-10 and the WJ MPP-36 for my Opti/Megs collection though and they're great. I just really enjoy seeing how Weijiang have fixed up the vanette mould. They've done what Takara should have, and it wasn't that coplivcated a fix either. Takara just got lazy
Ugh. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I TOTALLY want this fixed-up version of Ironhide and Ratchet at regular MP sized. ALL of these fixes! I know no one's going to do it, or it can't be done due to fragility, or whatever. But I'm not interested in oversized figures in my collection. Not jumping in for the same reason Starganderfish just mentioned. Far enough into MPs, not about to switch that up. Also not letting a handful of these things take up all the room I have. They look impressive (seen some in person) but not for me. Seriously. I hate every standard MP option out there for these two characters. So no MP version of either in my collection. And I don't buy stand-ins, so that's that. That, too.
I gotta find more space on the shelf. I'll be getting this. I really hope we start getting the Nissans.
Will the first batch have the same normal standard face like the official MP30 or will it have the derpy, odd looking face like the forst batch of the oversized MPP27 Ironhide? So this comes with Ratchet's accessories plus Ironhide's accessories some of which are repainted? Would y'all say the face sculpt is accurate to the official Takara MP Ratchet? I don't think so.
