Haha you miss read my post but no worries I'll explain. I was talking about the non combining, super articulated (done well I might add) 7 or 8 inch VOLTRON produced by MATTY ;)  As I REALLY like that toy and I let it slip.through my fingers. It was like perfect in my hands too but I was stubborn & didn't want to pay the over charged price of $10 lol. Sorta like MP-Starscream by Hasbro. Had it for 80 and passed because I thought I could get it for $60. I was wrong.

Also you can pose the combining mattel VOLTRON's arms thighs legs ect. Just xuz reviewers couldn't do it doesn't mean it couldn't be done. I had no problem at all just have to understanding posing figures in the first place & a lot of reviewers don't have the first clue. Not ALL, but the popular guys ;)

ON POINT OF OPTIMUS PRIME I think this matte darker paint job looks light years ahead of the bright light colored metallic paint we seen in the last pics!

The HOT TOYS one is the biggest OPTIMUS PRIME in that G1 look. Its 13 inches. MP-10 is like 9&1/2 - 10 inches. ALSO 3A is gonna be 19 inches approximately and is of the movie variation and if I do say so myself,
INCREDIBLE DETAIL! (I.just got Bee myself & have the rest orders as well) and to answer why.ppl don't just buy MP-10. Most of us have MP-10 already % some of us buy figures like crackheads buy crack so something different is always welcome. That's my take anyway I'm pumped!

Its the same packaging that Hasbro is using for all their "generations" type toys. Including Beast Kingdoms OPTIMUS PRIME SD and those Kids Logic figures as well as other propertys Hasbro is licensing out ;)

Please tell me what this MPP10 is and images ect ! :drool

I think we saw this background around the same time as the TW one; Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee at least. They're pretty cartoonishly drawn and look exactly like G1 so I wouldn't expect anything.

I really do love when things like this come up and all some people can do is go "URGH! IT TRANSFORMER THAT NOT TRANSFORM! MY BRAIN NO LIKEY!" or something similar ;)

Such a close minded bunch of people.

Yet they still feel the need to comment every time.

Yes to most of your points, but this is just a different take and it looks cool. I'm getting it. It looks like it came straight out of a comic. MPP-10 is 13" and this guy is 9" I think, but all of your other points hold true.

The only non-transforming transformer I want to see is an MP scaled Megatron optimised for playability/posability and G1 cartoon accuracy. IMO, this has been long overdue for some time.

Whew!! Now that is a hot mess right there... Talk about gross. Really don't think it turned out very well at all. Few more tweaks & it would've been a maybe... Maybe.

This is what happens when you get a clueless idiot to design a toy.

Well, for starters, MPP10 is a filthy worthless knockoff.

Meanwhile, this is an original figure made by the the same people who are selling it, as opposed to being stolen. I think the choice is obvious.

That was one of the first things to come to mind as I was saying 'I hope they do other characters too'.

Before you say that you should read all the great reviews the figure gets, and especially at the price point, but besides that I hope this guy turns out well. Its an interesting take.

I actually like this Prime; giant, exaggerated proportions and all. If only he were a bit taller, he'd scale perfectly with the Acid Rain guys.

June at HLJ , six more months.

These inaccurate dates kill me with my preorders. Budgeting with consistently changing arrival dates been screwing with me bad. I'm waiting for this one to release before I order it. Trying to move to no preorders next year. Either that or full prepay preorders only.

Well, when it comes out I'll be picking one up. I've also read that it will be March of next year which is reasonable.
