How many original Marvel TF comics are there? I don't know what # they stopped at.....Thanks for the help!
The US run ended at issue 80, not including the miniseries for TF Universe (4 issues), TF vs GI Joe (4 issues), Headmasters (4 issues), and TF: The Movie (3 issues). I know the UK run was longer in issue number, not sure how many though.
The UK title went for 332 regular issues (which reprinted the US run in its entirety), I *think* 8 annuals (some of which directly tied in with the regular title) and the movie adaption.
You mean the UK run right? US only went 80 issues with no annuals I think. U.S. also had the 3 issue Movie Limited Series. 4 issue Headmasters Limited Series and 4 issue G.I. Joe Vs. Transformers Limited Series. Marvel also had Generation 2 which lasted 13 issues (12 numbered, 1 give away) but had like 4-5 issues crossed over with G.I. Joe
Nope. Cy was correct with 13 (before he edited his post). Marvel also produced a "Halloween Special" 8-page freebie comic: http://www.tfarchive.com/comics/guide/index.php?s=g2_special 5, if you count the collected TP.
12 numbered. 1 Halloween Give away Special. Universe lasted 4 issues. Ugh...redundant. Sorry Voiceroy.
Universe was also made available as a trade paperback, incidentally, and in the UK, there were five G2 comics (2 with new content, the rest reprints) and an annual.
Check out the original comics...they were pretty cool for its time. The 1st 12 issues were great! We get to see things like the intros of the bots and cons, Shockwave outsmarting Megatron to become Decepticon leader, Optimus' head was detached and lastly how the bots came back with Prime kicking Decepticon butt!
