So has anyone's Prime/Megs set shipped from the original label's website? I haven't gotten any updates since my order went through

Cool tidbit - back cover states:

Album originally recorded in Czech Republic, 1983-1984.

I'd love to hear the story behind how that went down.

I've heard that the Dancitron theme was not inlcuded because it was licenced to use in Spider-Man as well and was not exclusive to Transformers.

Me too. There was no Czech republic in 1983. It was Czeckoslovakia and under communist rule.

Has anyone gotten a notification that their Bumblebee variant from ThinkGeek has shipped yet? My order says "processing." I ordered later in the day on Friday after I believe the site briefly said it was sold out.

Yeah that music showed up on Spiderman & his Amazing Friends. Even as a kid I remember hearing it there.

My Bumblebee one is the one that came today. Still waiting on the two variants, with no correspondence to say they're dispatched or when they might arrive.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that quote from the Allspark. Although it was the post that first alerted us to all of this and I do believe that the disco theme is missing because it was written for an earlier show (I too have heard it on S&HAF), the thing about Douglas leaving early doesn't seem to be born out by the credits on the LP, which list Douglas as the composer of most tracks, including many of the synthy, season 3 ones.

I was on the fence with this one because I don't have a turntable. Hopefully these will get released on CD's

I like the way the LPs look, but I'm not a fan of the sound at all. Give me a CD any day.

They seriously need to release a digital version of this. CD would be nice too, but fewer and fewer people use CDs these days. I don't believe I've even purchased a CD in my entire life. And even less people use vinyls. I mean really, how many people have turntables these days?

While I think it's very cool that they released it on vinyl, being what it is, I think they definitely need a digital release.

These vinyls are so cool, I would very much like to own one. Even though I unfortunately missed out on these this time around, oh well. Maybe if there's a next time I'll be able to nab one.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread---vinyl isn't even the proper "retro" format to release it in. How many record-player and LP TF's were there? Zero. But casettes and cassette-players? Too many to list. A cassete would be the retro format to use, if any. If they were going to do retro, it should have been a tape.

(and of course, it should be CD/MP3 anyways, as even among those of us who grew up watching it---very few have/had a record player, unless you liked listening to your parent's albums, and I figure not TOO many more still have a decent stereo with a working tape deck) (I kept mine as long as I could, but it still died years ago---and it was pretty "retro" even when I bought it)

Doesn\'t seem to be worth my money; irrelevant format, incomplete tracks and tracks that are not completely finished.

Yeah, I think I\'ll stick with the excellent fan-made, largely complete versions online, thanks.

Also, am I the only one who thinks the vinyl designs are pretty garish and rather ugly?

I want a vinyl release of the Jablonsky score from the first live action movie while they're at it!
