I know this has been discussed before, however, we now have a little more info than last time (I think)

Who are the original 13?

Confirmed:

1 Prima
2 Megatronus Prime/The Fallen
3 Alpha Trion
4 Vector Prime
5 Nexus Prime
6 Liege Maximo
7 Solus Prime

My Speculation:

8 Modus Prime. It has been confirmed 1 will be a Minicon and Modus is the only Minicon Prime.

9 One will have a Beast Mode, also confirmed.

10 It as been reported that the 13 will embody key elements of the Transformers mythos, so I'm thinking one might be a Triple Changer.

Still 3 more which I haven't got any ideas. 8, 9 and 10 are good guesses. Any more ideas?

 

I hope that one of them is a (insert name here) Master, maybe another one be a Pretender, and maybe a counterbalance to Liege Maximo, but thats my speculations.

 

I'm kinda thinking that the mini-con is Safeguard, since he was Vector Prime's partner in Cybertron.

And even though Hasbro's told us that he isn't, Macaddam totally should be.

 

The western version of Power/Target/Head Masters wouldn't work would it? With the partners being human/nebulon. The Jap version would, and that's an excellent idea.

I agree with both of these. I also like the idea that someone had suggested: If the beast-former is one of the seven Primes, then he or she should be called "Primal".

 

Seeing as each is an "original" TF, I'd say a "first triple-changer" is required.

I think we might see the first "masters" too [Targetmaster, Headmaster..] and definitely the first titanic cybertronian [titanic in the Metroplex and Trypticon sense of the word].

 

Possibly a first "flyer/seeker"?

Were they really called "the original 13" or the "the 13 Primes?"

 

Thirteen original Transformers, but on one occasion they were the "the Original Epic Warriors of Cybertron".

 

So they were the first to Transform, not the first Cybertronians?

Because of that, I've edited my original post accordingly.

 

In the new continuity, "Transformer" seems to be the name of their species, but at some point in time, various groups took to the stars (before or during the Autobot/Decepticon war remains to be seen) and founded colonies in other areas of space (like Velocitron and Gigantron); so they became 'Velocitronians', 'Gigantronians', and whathaveyou, respectively.

Perhaps those who feel closer to Cybertron prefer to be known as 'Cybertronians'.

But the Original Thirteen were at least Cybertronians, no true guarantee of they were 'Transformers' in the sense of transforming quite yet.

 

That was my thoughts originally. Safeguard or Over-Run. I only picked Modus because he had the title Prime. It could easily be wrong as we have seen the Last Autobot create him in modern times. Does that prove he's not been around since the very beginning of Cybertron?

 

Did the Last Autobot create Modus, or re-create him? If the former, unlikely he's one of the Thirteen, if the latter, chances improve (but do not necessarily make it probable).

 

I've always figured the Last Autobot was one of the Original 13
