I couldn't help but decide to add my own tribute to the twenty-five glorious years of Transformers history as well! And so, I decided to make a special, by modifying and decorating a truck fold to dedicate a legendary Autobot of the ages!

    Enjoy! :D

Technically this is papercraft. Origami, traditionally, is the art of paper folding. No use of glue or tape. Technically you arent even supposed to cut the paper. Only a square piece of paper.

Yours looks like you cut out pieces of construction paper and glued them together. good job nonetheless.

I guess I have to admit - there was papercraft involved, though the truck base was that or origami since I was unable to find a suitable semi-trailer form, hence the heavy modifications. But thank you very much too! :)

    Thank you! :)

Thanks - I might have to visit that website one day!

sQ7's point is that we require attaching project images to threads. He was merely asking nicely. :)

This papercraft prime looks great in the one image you've posted.

So I see - thanks very much, especially the praise! :)

I only did what I had to do with the instructions - though I wasn't sure if I was able to make enough room with some extra modifications to the tyres. Thank you very much too! :)

Ah, haven't seen anything from you in a while, pal. This looks really good, though I have to admit I like your F22 seekers better. But I'm biased (w00t Decepticons!), so don't listen to me. XD

So, let me just make sure I understand you properly. It's an origami truck, but you customized it via papercraft to look more like Optimus? Cool, nice work. Not nearly enough origami vehicles and machinery floating around out there, I can see why you had to improvise. All I've got is Bumblebee. XP

...oh, btw, did you ever figure out that Jetfire model I sent you? I still can't get him right. >.>

That's okay - everyone has their favourite. I usually do a Transformers-based fold basically to celebrate something special involving the series.

Yes, that's basically what I did, considering I couldn't find the fold I wanted, hence customisation. It would be also nice if there was a Walther P38 fold so I could make Megatron!

And unfortunately, it didn't exactly had time lately to continue on the origami Jetfire. Maybe I'll continue sometime in the future.

    Once again, thank you! :)

Thanks very much! If you like, have a look at my first Transformers-based origami/papercraft project! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/173678-g1-movie-seekers-origami-style.html

Yeah, this is paper engineering, papercraft, w/e, anyway, looks good, but heres the real challenge, make it out of cardstock, way better.

Cardstock is allot like regular computer paper/copy paper, but its about 3-4 times thicker, its about 2 times thicker thank construction paper, and you can buy it colored too, i use it for paper crafts, and its like concrete! :D
