Gonna kick off the new year with (hopefully) a bunch of Oriental Weapons to spice things up for your Transformers:

List of links to the posts below for easy reference

    ====

First up is an Chinese Sword and it seems really fitting in the skilled hands of Windblade. Well, she is really one of the few bots who can dual wield weapons nicely :p

    A render of the sword
    Sword_Render.JPG

The piece was then 3d printed in resin and painted up, with a silver paint base for the blade which got subsequent sprays of clear orange and clear red.

    En garde!

*Sneer*, I will cut you ...

Was a fun lil project this one!

As always 3d print files can be had here if you'll like to give it a try - Chinese Sword for Transformers | Funbie Studios on Patreon

    === More to come soon..... :)  ===

you can see here this is just impulse and loony shit right here. They never had firework bazookas, to begin with.

So this is turning into something which can help Optimus even out the fight a lil with Megs over here. Probably going to end up with a Decepticon logo-ed one so its can be a nice and "medieval" replacement for Megatron too.

    Bazooka1.jpg

    Bazooka2.jpg

This may come soon but for now, just had the idea to have 5mm ports at the front and rear so Siege effects can fit in it too.

Maybe dragon head missile will be another thing!

On a somewhat related note - could I name this piece the Amadeus Bazooka or something like that cos you did give me the idea for it, and it does need a name ? :p

Thanks to the great suggestion from Amadeus Novilium, here's the Amadeus Bamboo Bazooka. Again, Windblade is the choice bot to model this piece:

    Bazooka02.JPG

    Autobot logo emblazoned on it

    Bazooka03.JPG

Kabloomy - Siege effects fit on the 6mm ports on the front and back. So not only can you do firing effect, you can also have back blast effects (for accuracy?) :p

    Bazooka04.JPG

But wait a minute, it does look more fitting for a larger bot?
    Bazooka05.JPG

    Unhand the bazooka, tiny one!
    Bazooka06.JPG

It seems to fit me better .... yessss..
    Bazooka07.JPG

Bah, it's the autobot's logo.... gotta fix that...
    Bazooka09.JPG

There we go - suitably more evil looking now..
    Bazooka08.JPG

    This feels about just right!
    Bazooka10.JPG

Two can play this game, Megatron!
    Bazooka12.JPG

Well, seems like there's enough of these to go around!
    Bazooka13.JPG

Here's the render of all the 3 variants of this piece:

This was a fun one to have done up. Files available here - Amadeus Bamboo Bazooka for Transformers | Funbie Studios on Patreon

Somehow forgot that I wanted to share some photos on these earlier because they were a Xmas present for a pal's Nightbird which (out of the box) was woefully lacking in the armaments department. :p

Presenting a full weapons set for Nightbird!

Sais - of course she needs to have these bad boys to cut down any foes.

    NightBird05.jpg

    Leaping attack yo!
    NightBird06.jpg

Then of course, out comes these nunchucks! The middle portion is made using flexible filament to allow them to bend and all.
    NightBird10.jpg

And dual wielded katanas! These were printed in clear blue with the handles painted silver.
    NightBird14.jpg

which even look cool if you can hold them both in a hand. Looks familiar?
    NightBird17.jpg

And ok, there can be such a thing as too many weapons to peg on a bot. So a stand was needed to hold/display everything.
    NightBird19.jpg

A closer look at them pointy aggression tools.

And here's more mystical weapons from the Orient for your Transformers - this time, the fabled Dragon Sabre famously wielded by Kanu (Guan Yu)!

A weapon almost instantly recognizable just a moment before the glint of its end ends a Decepticon, this massive blade will cleave through anything (and anyone!) like butter!

This is the first time Grotesque has been enlisted for some showcase acrobatics, and you can tell he's having a ball! (Love his articulation!)

    KanuDragonSabre01.JPG

    KanuDragonSabre04.JPG

Nothing changes minds faster than the sharp end of this sabre staring back at you

    KanuDragonSabre06.JPG

    It's posing time~
    KanuDragonSabre09.JPG

Even if not with the blade, the end is gonna deal some damage to all ya decepticreeps too!

The next piece in the series of Oriental weapons started off as a stress test model for resin 3d printing. But its promise saw it very quickly evolve into this little Meteor Flail for your transformers!

Due to its super small size and details - it needed to be printed on a resin 3d printer. The somewhat clear blue resin helped to sell it as a energy weapon so that saved some painting time.. Heh..

It felt really delicate to be messing around with at first but is actually more robust that it appears to be.

Was a little hard photographing the small details so here's what a render of it looks like :p

Nothing like one of these for bots to get up close and personal in combat!

This was a rather fun request to have undertaken - a pair of swords for Six Shot or Great shot! Kinda large for most figures possibly but works nicely for these bigger bots:

    GreatShotSwords02.JPG

One does not simply pick these weapons up without the necessary contemplation beforehand...

    GreatShotSwords03.JPG

    Now, let's have at it!

    GreatShotSwords04.JPG

Gonna leave these ones unpainted with the clear blue energy look!
    GreatShotSwords06.JPG

Almost like a final pose after the foe has been split in twain!

Presenting the Chohi Flame Spear to further arm your bots!

Simliar to the Kanu Dragon Sabre, the main handle of the piece will be made of a 5mm rod, with the spear head and spear end going on both ends of the rod..

Here's Cybertronian Prime standing in to model for this piece :p

    FlameSpear01.jpg

Not one, not two, but three pointy bits!

    FlameSpear03.jpg

En garde! Lest you get skewered like some Decepti-Kebab!

    A render of the piece:

Probably going to have to make a weapon stand of sorts for all these polearm pieces soon .... sooon .......
