Optimus Prime Demoted and Megatron the same size So I was looking at the paper that comes with each toy and it has 15 various figures. I noticed that they also demoted the size of Optimus Prime from Leader Class to Voyager Class and they kept Megatron the same size albiet an new color job. So why did they do this? In ROTF you see Optimus Prime and Ironhide walking toward a downed Scavenger, Prime is taller than Ironhide as he was in the first movie. Whats your take on this?
Just marketing. Most kids can't afford a $40 Optimus, so Hasbro makes cheaper versions of popular characters. Please read this.
I don't have a clue what you're talking about. When wanting to discuss, the more specific you are, the better. I'm guessing you're refering to the NEST Line having a repaint of Voyager Prime and Leader Megatron. In which case, couldn't care less.
You have to understand that character will recieve new figures in multiple sizes for variety. It in no way reflects actual scale. It's perfectly normal.
Prime can be any size you want. The most recent size class Prime is released into is not *THE* size he has to be forever.
Just because they release a new, smaller, toy, doesn't magically make the bigger ones disappear. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
*facepalm* It's not like the Voyager's release has made every leader Prime spontaniously combust. The Voyager is there so that people don't have to spend $40 for an Optimus figure. (or rather $60 here) Besides, there's a Voyager Megatron as well.
Personally i am looking forward to the new voyager prime. Looks pretty cool and the matrix is what sold me on it.
