I only met Gary once, but he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and we are lessened as a community by his passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends in this difficult time.
I can't say I had the pleasure of meeting Gary, but when someone on TFW passes, it feels like you lost a part of the family. Thoughts go out to his loved ones in this difficult time.
Wow, I talked to the guy a few times here. I'm pretty shocked to be honest, he was a great guy and will be missed!

Gary was a dear friend. We had just talked about hanging out at NJCC. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
Why is this not front paged!! I knew Gary very well, we did many podcasts together and he was such a pleasure to talk too. This is a shock to me............. he will be missed so very VERY much.
Per request of his wife we removed any mention of his passing until she said it was okay. There was immediate family unaware of his passing and they deserve to know via personal communication, NOT Facebook. She has recently said that it's okay. As for a frontpage, we are not prepared at this time to make a statement but rest assured we will. RIP Gary.
This is terrible. He helped me out back when Animated ended. He was such a nice and helpful guy. I never had the privelege to meet him in person, though. Rest in peace, Gary.
He really was a true gentleman and it showed even in a faceless online communications we had. Rest in peace Gary.
Gary was one of the first guys I made friends with here. We chit chatted via pm and what not. Got to meet him in person at TFCon '09..... I'll always look at the Alt Nemmy Prime I got from you in a different way now.... Gary was even more awesome in person than he was over the 'net. really gonna miss you man. R.I.P. my friend.
It´s a sad moment when someone in the fandom dies. For all our bickering, we never wish harm upon people. RIP.
Gary and I became quite friendly over the last few years. He and I went to the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra charity premiere together in Rhode Island. We both attended JoeCon '10 together, as well as various other 'Con's over the last few years. We chatted on the phone quite frequently as well. I really got to know the man, and I'm so thankful for that. Gary was a total optimist. Whenever life threw something at him, he was always positive things would turn around for the better. That is something to be admired. This world lost an amazing person yesterday, and we are all poorer for it. I hope you have found peace my friend. You will be missed. All I could think about over the last 24 hours were Luisa and Gary's two son's. They are in my thoughts.
Wow. only in his forties. Such a shame he died so young. I never had the pleasure of meeting him however some of the posts I saw him make made me believe he was a reasonable guy. RIP
