    so what does it exactly do because in Chernobyl it turned into the round thing and in Chicago it turns into the jetwing prime

    It can basically turn into a number of things. It can become a weapons rack OR a jetpack. (with all the stored weapons becoming friggin' huge 90's comics guns) It also has more functions, probably, but we don't see them. Remember the hoverchair concept?

    All wrong, the jetpack is clearly to see in the left side of the ring in Chernobyl, also a second shield, rocket launchers etc....

    i took it as a wepons platform that can turn into this giant armored battle suit or "flight tech" as optimus calls it

    I figure it's like those Scout-sized Human Alliance toys, which triple-change from vehicle, robot, and weapon. With Prime, his trailer would triple-change from vehicle (trailer), weapons platform, and weaponized jetpack. Heck, considering the zillions of concept arts, those could just be the 3 modes that we're aware of.
