I was rearranging my collection shelves last night, and I decided to take some pictures of an older custom I made back when the first movie came out. It is kind of hybridization of a movie style with a little G1 thrown in the mix. It started out as a Target Exclusive Robo-Vision Optimus Prime repainted in a more G1 color scheme. I also added a ball-jointed neck and Alternators Optimus Prime's head.

Nice work. I always liked this mold. Not the big back pack, but I built up the ankles/heels a bit to make him not to back heavy. I like that head.

    Outstanding!
I have some stuff set aside for something similar- but at the rate I get to things I'll get it done in approximately 10 years.

I really like this. Good job. If only the movie looked like that.

Thanks :)  Yeah he is a little Backpackimus do you have any pictures of your ankle/heel mod?
Thank you... and I know the feeling I have so many customs that I have started, and I don't ever seem to get the time work on them. That is one of the reasons I started making action figure customs they are still a lot of work just not as much as TF customs... I have a Classics Brainstorm that I have had on hold for a couple of years now :(

Now this should have been our new classics prime, not the not so voyager one we've got now... (Though I do like the mold)

This is really nice, I might have to find one of these now.

That head does look pretty good on that mold. Out of all the movie prime figures we have gotten I think I still like this mold the best, even if its not very accurate to the screen model.

Thanks, I think several of the movie toys looks better with more G1-ish heads.
Thanks, if you make one as well I look forward to seeing it.
Yeah it isn't the most screen accurate figure, but it the one I like the most as well... at least with a new head that is :D
