    *Update #2* Added a couple painted mock-ups.

    *Update* Well, it's been a while, but here's an update. After shelving the model for a long time, I got back to it and slowly worked on it as a personal project. Here's where it's at currently. Would love to hear what you all think.

    This is part horrifying, part badass, & all awesome. The split gorilla face looks like it's roaring in agony. So far the level of detail is impressive. Can't wait to see the finished sculpt!

    Your work is amazing!!! :thumb  :thumb , Agreed, would love to see this when you're finished.

    Would also agree a bit on the lips.. not that they're not nice looking lips, but to me at least, not gorilla looking, which are usually flat/straight, not a cupid bow type. Also lovin' his faceplate so far too... just fantastic work overall.
    A LOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS ONE!!!

    I assumed the gorilla lips were just pulled back since the head was split 4 ways? The gorilla face looks like he's in a roar to me

    Wow, I suck. I completely let this thread die.

    Thanks everyone, really appreciate the replies. I haven't worked much on the sculpt since posting, but if I do get back to it i'll post the updates.

    Correct! The idea is he'd be roaring mid transformation and it would end up in that position on the chest.
